Your tour guide and bus driver will be waiting for you to welcome you to Greece. Then transfer to your hotel Friday, October 4, 2019 ATHENS / CORINTH / ATHENS After breakfast, we will have a tour of Athens, with its famous Acropolis. We visit Parthenon, Areopagus and Mars Hill, where the Apostle Paul delivered his well-known sermon. Afterwards, we take a panoramic tour to see the rest of Athens: the library, the university, and the Parliament house. Then, we drive to Corinth, where the apostle Paul lived and preached. We will see the archeological museum and the temples. En route, back to Athens, we stop to see the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean and the Ionian Seas. Dinner and overnight in Athens. Saturday, October 5, 2019 ATHENS / SANTORINI / ATHENS Today we depart Athens on flight OA354 to Santorini, at 10:10am. Arrive Santorini at 10:55am and take a tour around the beautiful island. Santorini was the site of an epochal volcanic eruption that some connect with the legend of Atlantis. It blew up the Minoan land mass, leaving the islands we see today. In the evening, we depart Santorini on flight OA361 back to Athens, at 9:10pm. Arrive Athens at 9:55pm. Sunday, October 6, 2019 ATHENS / KALAMBAKA This morning, we depart Athens and drive to Kalambaka, with the famous Meteora. We will enjoy the unique scenery of the hanging Byzantine Monasteries and have an idea about the monastic life in the 14 th century. Dinner and overnight in Kalambaka. Monday, October 7, 2019 KALAMBAKA / VERIA / THESSALONIKI We will depart Kalambaka and drive to Veria (Berea), where St. Paul escaped the hostility he encountered at Thessaloniki. We will see the monument built to the Apostle at the southern part of the city, also known as the Bema. Then drive to Thessaloniki, where we will see the white tower, the Arch of Galerius, and visit Agios Demetrios. Dinner and overnight in Thessaloniki. Tuesday, October 8, 2019 THESSALONIKI / PHILIPPI / KAVALA After breakfast, we will follow the ancient highway of Via Egnatia to reach Philippi. Philippi is now an archeological site only, but has a glamorous history. Named after Philip II of Macedonia, Philippi was the witness to Paul’s first Christian converts on European soil. We see some old section of the Via Egnatia, St. Paul’s prison, and the archeological museum. Afterwards, we drive to Kavala, the ancient site of Neapolis. Here, we visit the harbor, which witnessed the first of St. Paul’s visits to Greece. Dinner and overnight in Kavala. Wednesday, October 9, 2019 KAVALA / TURKISH BORDER This morning, we will drive to the Turkish border. After crossing, we will meet our bus and guide. We will cross the Dardanelles by ferry, then we continue to the village of Tevfikiye, to see the remains of the legendary city of Troy. Settled as early as 3,000 BC, Troy was made famous by Homer’s Iliad, the epic account of the Trojan War. Dinner and overnight in Assos. (You must obtain Turkish visa in USA before your departure. Visit www.evisa.gov.tr to apply for Turkish visa) Thursday, October 10, 2019 ASSOS / KUSADASI After breakfast, we depart to Ephesus, which is located in the modern town of Selcuk. Ancient Ephesus is one of the most well-preserved archaeological sites in Turkey. Originally an ancient Greek Ionic city, built in the 10 th century B.C. We will end our day at the House of the Virgin Mary, the site where the mother of Jesus is believed to have spent the last days of her life with the Apostle John. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi. Friday, October 11, 2019 KUSADASI / PATMOS / KUSADASI We will depart our hotel at 5:30am, towards the port of Kusadasi and board on the boat to Patmos. Upon arrival, we visit the monastery of Saint John and the cave of Revelation. At 2:30pm, we board the boat and return to Kusadasi. Arrive Kusadasi by 7:00pm. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi. Saturday, October 12, 2019 DEPART TURKEY / TEL AVIV This morning, we depart Kusadasi and drive to Izmir Airport. We depart Izmir on flight TK2313 to Istanbul, at 10:55am. Arrive Istanbul at 12:15pm. Then transfer flight on TK786 to Tel Aviv, at 1:30pm. Arrive Tel Aviv at 3:40pm, where you will be welcomed by your tour guide and bus driver. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Sunday, October 13, 2019 NAZARETH / CANA / SEA OF GALILEE / CAPERNAUM / MOUNT BEATITUDES This morning we visit Nazareth, the village in which Jesus grew up and lived. We visit the house of the Holy Family. Then, we visit Joseph’s workshop and explore the magnificent Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary’s Well, and the Church of the Old Synagogue, which marks the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. We will stop in Cana and visit the Church where Jesus performed His first public miracle at the wedding. We will have the opportunity to renew our wedding vows. Then to Tiberias and the sites around the Sea of Galilee: Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, and St. Peter’s Primacy. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Monday, October 14, 2019 NAZARETH / HAIFA / CAESAREA / OLD JAFFA / JERUSALEM This morning we visit Haifa and Mount Carmel to see the Cave of the Prophet Elijah and then farther, on Mount Carmel, we visit El-Muhraka, the place where the prophet challenged the priests of Baal. On our way to Jerusalem, we stop in Caesarea to view the ruins of the old Roman city and the aqueduct. In Tel Aviv, we visit Old Jaffa and the Church of St. Peter. On to Jerusalem for overnight. Tuesday, October 15, 2019 MOUNT OF OLIVES / GETHSEMANE / BETHLEHEM / EIN KAREM We start with the Mount of Olives, the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of the Ascension and down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church. Pray at the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Church of All Nations. On to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, the Basilica of St. Catherine, and the Shepherds’ Field and in the afternoon return to Jerusalem, stopping en route in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation. built in his honor. Dinner and Overnight in

Padua.

VENICE

Breakfast at our Hotel. Then we drive to

Venice, one of the world’s unique cities.

We celebrate Holy Mass at St. Mark’s

Cathedral, after which we stroll through the

Square, visiting Doges Palace and the

Bridge of Sights. After spending time in

beautiful Venice, we return to our Hotel in

Padua for Dinner and Overnight.

PISA/FLORENCE

Today, we will have Breakfast at our Hotel

and then take our motorcoach and drive to

Pisa, the historic town situated on the Arno

River. We visit the Piazza Dei Miracoli,

the Cathedral and Baptistery with its

famous Organ & Echo, and the world-

renewed Leaning Tower. After Holy Mass,

we continue to Florence. Dinner and

Overnight at Our Hotel.

Saturday, October 16, 1999

FLORENCE

Morning Breakfast and Holy Mass,

followed by a guided tour of Florence. We

visit the Academy Museum to see the

original painting of David, onto the

Cathedral S. Maria Del Fiore, the Duomo,

the Baptistery with the Golden doors of

Ghiberti, Giotto’s Bell Tower and onto the

historical center of the town Piazza Della

Signoria. Afternoon at leisure in Florence

for a time of relaxation. Dinner and

FLORENCE/SIENA/ASSISI

This morning, after Breakfast, we drive

through the wine region to the city of

Sienna, birthplace of St. Catherine, Virgin

and Doctor of the Church. Our short visit

will include the Cross from which St.

Catherine received the Stigmata. We stroll

through the silent narrow streets from the

central square of Piazza Del Campo, to the

Piazza Del Duomo, overshadowed by the tall

marble Cathedral. Continue to Assisi. Dinner

Wednesday, October 16, 2019 OLD CITY JERUSALEM / MOUNT ZION

Early morning transfer to the old city of Jerusalem to start our private “Way of the Cross” to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Golgotha. Return to our hotel for breakfast. Back to the Old City and we start our visit with St. Anne’s Church, Pools of Bethesda, and walk through the crowded streets to the Wailing Wall. On Mount Zion, we visit the Room of the Last Supper, the Dormition Church and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. We also see David’s Tomb. We will be dropped at Jaffa Gate and do our shopping in the Old City on our own.

Thursday, October 17, 2019 BETHANY/JERICHO / RIVER JORDAN /

CROSS BORDER INTO JORDAN We visit Bethany where we see the church built on the traditional site of Mary and Martha and their brother Lazarus. We drive down through the Judean Desert to Jericho to see the ruins of the ancient city and view Mount of Temptation. We stop at the Oak Tree on our way to the baptismal site on the Jordan River where we renew our baptismal vows. We then cross the border into Jordan. On to Jordan for dinner and overnight.

This morning we drive to Petra for an unforgettable visit of the “Rose Red” city. We begin at the “Siq”, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage, we will see Petra’s most beautiful monument – the Treasury. We will discover temples, royal tombs, a theater and water channels. Return to our hotel.

Saturday, October 19, 2019 MADABA/MOUNT NEBO/DEAD SEA

This morning we drive to Madaba and visit the church, home to a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Then from the summit of Mount Nebo, we view the “Promised Land.” We end the day at the Dead Sea to feel the warm and salty water and have some time at leisure.

REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER 95 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPATURE:Registrations received after 95 days prior to departure will incur an additional fee based on air availability. Additional fees will be advised upon registration.CANCELLATION FEES: From day of registration to 120 days prior to departure, you will be charged a $50 non-refundable administrative fee plus any airline fees. Additionally, thereafter, you will be charged any airline penalties and a single room supplement if your cancellation forces your roommate into a single plus the following charges: 119-91 days = $350; 90-61 days = $1,000; 60-31 days = $1,500; 30 days to 1 day prior to departure date or no show, no refund plus no refund for any tickets issued. Once the tour commences there will be no refunds on missed or unused portions of the tour program. FIT TO TRAVEL STATEMENT: Passengers registering for the tour accept the responsibility for being in good health and able to walk and travel on the tour.
