EN Ernst Toller was one of the most internationally performed German play writers during the interwar period. In his autobiography 'Eine Jugend in Deutschland' he describes movingly the social and political developments in Germany since the first World War. BLUT UND POËZIE: BERLIN

NL Wanneer het regent in Berlin, druppelt het in Vlaanderen, in elk geval tijdens het interbellum… Onder begeleiding van Ruud Gielens, Saskia Louwaard en Karel Vanhaesebrouck gaan de studenten theaterregie van het RITCS met auteurs als Paul Van Ostaijen, Wies Moens, Kurt Köhler en Ferdinand Bordewijk als gids op zoek naar de echo’s tussen het interbellum en onze verwarrende tijden. Want het verleden spreekt steeds tot het heden. Samen met de studenten Podiumtechnieken ontwerpen ze speciaal voor het museum een in-situ-parcours.

by Brussels Cleaning Masters
FR Robin Schaeverbeke (percussions), Lutz Boddenberg (basse), Peter Bultink (guitare) et Volkmar Mühleis (voix) composent l'ensemble d'improvisation Brussels Cleaning Masters. Ils confronteront des textes de ritournelles/mélodies populaires allemandes ("Schlagers") de l'entre-deux-guerres avec des univers sonores contemporains pour faire résonner le Berlin d'hier dans le Bruxelles d'aujourd'hui.
NL Brussels Cleaning Masters is een improvisatie-ensemble, bestaande uit Robin Schaeverbeke (drums), Lutz Boddenberg (bas), Peter Bultink (gitaar) en Volkmar Mühleis (stem). Ze gaan teksten van Duitse schlagers uit het interbellum met hedendaags geluid contrasteren, Berlijn laten weerklinken in het Brussel van vandaag.
EN Brussels Cleaning Masters is an improvisation ensemble consisting of Robin Schaeverbeke (drums), Lutz Boddenberg (bass), Peter Bultink (guitar) and Volkmar Mühleis (voice). They will confront texts of German folk songs / melodies ("Schlagers") of the inter-war period with contemporary sounds to make yesterday’s Berlin resonate in today’s Brussels.

Durational voice and text performance with a poem of Hugo Ball by Ralf Peters (stimmfeld)
EN The voice and performance artist Ralf Peters (Cologne) will work for about one hour with the sound poem “Totenklage”, written by one of the founders of dada Hugo Ball in 1917 as a strong protest against WW1.
FR Le performer vocal Ralf Peters (Cologne) se confronte, pendant près d'une heure, au poème sonore 'Totenklage', cri de révolte contre la guerre écrit en 1917 par Hugo Ball, un des pères de dada.
NL De stem- en performance kunstenaar Ralf Peters (Keulen) zal bijna een uur lang werken met het klankgedicht 'Totenklage'. Hugo Ball, één van de grondleggers van het dadaïsme, schreef in 1917 deze sterke aanklacht tegen WOI.
