Welcome to the Foxfield Railway, situated in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands...

2013 marks the 120thanniversary since the building of the Foxfield Railway line. Enoch Mann, a local colliery owner built the line to carry coal from the colliery at Dilhorne to Blythe Bridge. Instead of taking the more direct route he diverted the line over the moors away from the his house. From this we are extremly thankful that the line boldly crosses open moorland, hills and woods which results in spectacular sights and sounds as trains climb some of the steepest gradients to be found on any standard gauge railway in the UK. Thank you Enoch, you have left Staffordshire with a beautiful treasure! From this our unique Steam Railway nestles in the heart of Staffordshire at Blythe Bridge. You can travel on our wonderful steam hauled trains through the glorious countryside to Dilhorne Park, our current remote stop from where the trappings of modern life do not spoil the view as you are swept back in time. You can sample a taste of the Staffordshire countryside by travelling in style on-board our period carriages whilst enjoying the magic of being hauled by a steam engine. Not only can you enjoy the train but we have many other facilities which you cansample with our museum allowing you to get up close and personal with steam engines. You may wish to enjoy a bite to eat in our splendid café or even enjoy our very own real pub which offers a great range of beers and soft drinks. You can check when to travel either by reading on or by visiting our website: www.foxfieldrailway.co.uk.

Welcome toFoxfield
