OFFICE OF LEARNING AND TEACHING
The Foundations of University Learning and Teaching (FULT) ten-week collegial program is offered to all Bond University teaching staff who are keen to develop their pedagogy and practice by exploring a range of theories, perspectives, tools and practical approaches to learning and teaching in higher education. The FULT program aims to cater to those who are new to teaching as well as those seeking new ideas to integrate into their teaching to enhance the student learning experience.
Over the course of the program, academics will build on their current skill set and gain confidence in their ability to facilitate the learning process. More specifically, participants of the FULT program will develop their teaching skills, explore different ways in which students learn, and actively experience how disciplinary expertise and teaching skills work in partnership to deliver quality teaching and learning.
These goals are achieved through the introduction of core learning and teaching pedagogy, induction into the process of aligning learning outcomes with class activities and assessments, and the development of reflective practice as a university educator.

REFLECTIVE PRACTICE
“THE FULT PROGRAM WAS BY FAR THE BEST PD AND TEACHING TRAINING
THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO UNDERTAKE – AND I’VE BEEN TEACHING IN ACADEMIA FOR
OVER 20 YEARS.”
“IT’S QUITE OVERWHELMING TO THINK JUST HOW MUCH I HAVE TAKEN AWAY,
AND CONTINUE TO DRAW FROM IN TERMS OF FULT. IT REALLY HAS CHANGED THE WAY I APPROACH
LEARNING AND TEACHING.”
