Harper Collins Concise Latin Dictionary ISBN-13: 978-0062791597 -- this is the best diciontary for students at this level. A larger dictionary only hinders them, and this one has third principle parts listed as their own entries! It is also reasonably priced ($15 on Amazon).
The Perseus Project (www.perseus.tufts.edu) has amazing online dictionary resources available that students may also use at home.

The class will consist of several real-world engineering projects. The students will develop engineering skills, along with some basic engineering math, needed to research, collaborate, and present team projects to the class.
This class will use free school software from Autodesk called Fusion 360. This is a 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing), CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) program that allows different teams to connect on a single cloud-based platform. Students will be provided with copies of the Latin texts we will be translating. There are limited dictionaries available for classroom use, and students will be given a link to a good online dictionary that they may use at home. A personal Latin dictionary would be very valuable for students at this point in their Latin careers, and I strongly recommend that they acquire a copy of Harper Collins Concise Latin Dictionary, which is the best diciontary for their level and at what is a reasonable dictionary price ($15 on Amazon). If students cannot purchase a personal dictionary and cannot access an online dictionary at home, I would be happy to make other arrangements.

We do not have a textbook for this class, because I have not found an approachable textbook for 8th graders. Note taking will be a
requirement in class and will provide students with all information needed for this course. For students who would like outside reading
to clarify concepts, below are a list of web resources that can be helpful. The topics learned in this class are almost entirely standard to
college economics classes. I encourage students to talk to me if they are not sure how to use these resources or are looking for extra
help. I also have a number of economics textbooks that students are welcome to read in student hours.

In charter schools the teacher recommends that students purchase the materials. This is mostly recommended for workbooks, novels, dictionaries etc. Students declining to purchase the materials will be loaned the materials by the school. The material remains the school’s property and has to be preserved in usable shape. Therefore, the student is not allowed to write in or alter the materials and is responsible for any damages or loss.

Harper Collins Concise Latin Dictionary ISBN-13: 978-0062791597 -- this is the best diciontary for students at this level. A larger dictionary only hinders them, and this one has third principle parts listed as their own entries! It is also reasonably priced ($15 on Amazon).

for future Latin classes. (At about $16 on Amazon, it's much more affordable than textbooks in other subjects.)
Recommeneded Texts Harper Collins Concise Latin Diciontary -- Having a Latin dictionary is always very useful! I strongly recommend this one. Yes, even over Cassell's! Students will be assessed on the material presented in class, which must be recorded in their daily notes. Students may reference a hard copy of lessons during my student hours if they would like to check their notes or review missed material.
There is no ideal textbook that covers the complete curriculum for this course at an appropriate level. If students would like a reference they may check out a textbook to take home, or purchase their own copy for home use. Although it can be a helpful resource, please keep in mind that these

books contain much more information than the students are responsible for learning in this course.
