It is my pleasure to serve as a reference for Michael (Mike) Dozier, who is an applicant for the Citizens Redistricting Commission. I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Mike for over twenty years, including over the last eight years, as I served as Mayor of the City of Fresno, and Mike served as Executive Director of the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley.

Mike is one of the most capable and committed community leaders I have had the opportunity to work with in my over twenty years of community development and civic leadership in the Greater Fresno Region. He is collaborative, expert in local government and regional economic development, and maintains the highest ethnical standards in leadership and decision making, both professionally and personally.

As Executive Director of the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, Mike was responsible for maintaining and supporting coalitions of community leaders across an eight county region. He was known for holding together large and diverse tables of civic leaders and challenging them to work together for the positive impact of residents in our communities.
