3  Presentación Corporativa FOTONA 2014

1. INTRODUCTION

FOTONA is a group of companies whose main activity is the design, promotion, construction, management and maintenance of renewable energy projects, especially in the solar photovoltaic field.

Energías Fotovoltaicas de Navarra SL, - its core firm - was created in 2005 by a group of entrepreneurs and professionals from a number of sector related to Renewable Energy, banking, civil construction and electricity. Today, the group has a sales network spread all over Southern Spain.

At an international level, in 2010 FOTONA created a branch in Mazères, Southern France. Two years on, FOTONA DOMINICANA, based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was the group´s first venture in the American continent.

Apart from this activity, FOTONA is also a distributor of clean-tech products aimed at both high-street shoppers and professionals. For this purpose, tutiendaenergetica.es was created in 2009.

2. FOTONA AND THE INDUSTRY

From an initial activity focused on the construction of multi-MW ground-mounted projects, Fotona has successfully adapted its operations to the changing PV market. When the Spanish government started changing its policies affecting ground-mounted feed-in-tariff projects in 2008, FOTONA moved on to smaller roof-top projects which offered the best returns to its investors.

2010 marks a breaking point for the company for it performs its first projects abroad, in France and Mexico.

In France, Fotona also diversifies its activity byt creating the first “Eco” business center in the country - Navasol.

Then, following a drop in PV hardware costs and a renewed international bid for sustainable energy solution, FOTONA put its sight in the Latin-American market. As a consequence of this, and after visiting countries such as Ecuador, Peru, El Salvador and Colombia, the group opened its first branch in the Dominican Republic in 2012.

2.1. On-grid projects Solar farms were the ventures by FOTONA, such as:

3. INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

FOTONA Group has a clear ambition for international growth. Our aim is to expand our business and know-how to up-and-coming PV markets through a network of self-sufficient branches. In order to achieve this vision, FOTONA has followed up the political and cultural developments within a number of countries and their approach to Sola PV in the last few years. As a result, in 2010 the group opened its first international branch in France. That same year, we performed our first “American job” in Mexico.

After a major research of the Latin-American energy market, FOTONA shortlisted a range of countries whose governments were showing a positive attitude towards Renewable Energy. Finally, in 2012, the group opened its first Caribbean company – FOTONA DOMINICANA.

3.1. FOTONA France

Our French offices are located on a 8.000m2 fenced property in Mazères, 40 kms south of Toulouse. This building, called Navasol, is the first Eco-Business Center in France. Navasol has 600 m2 fully-serviced office space and 1200 m2 storage available to both companies and professionals. Is also Fotona’s HQ in France.

Navasol “eco” credentials make it an unprecedented offering in the business center industry and helps its clients to be perceived as green organisations with a social responsability. At the same time, we have launched Fotona Shop, a sister company to tutiendaenergetica.es, which also commercializes eco-products related to energy efficiency and Renewable Energy.

3.2. FOTONA Dominicana

Fotona Dominicana is based in the Dominican capital, Santo Domingo, where it performs energy consulting duties to companies, public sector and NGOs that want to improve their efficiency and reduce their costs over a 40-year period.

As part of its sales strategy, Fotona Dominicana is led by a team of sales PV engineers that cover the entire country. Over the first year, the company has signed a range of cooperation agreements aimed at incresing its visibility in the Dominican energy market with great results. As of 2014, Fotona Dominicana has formally introduced a range of solar kits for the residential market.

Since it’s creating at the end of 2012, Fotona Dominicana has quickly become a reference in the Dominican Solar PV market and has installed it’s first PV Centrals. The target for the 2014-15 period is to reach a 3MW installed power and help the expansion of the brand in the region.

3.3. FOTONA Mexicana

● Navasol benefits from a 153,54 KWp roof-top solar PV central since 2011 that prevents 80,000 kgs of CO2 to be released to the atmosphere every year.

● Outdoors lights are solar powered. They automatically light up by night, using the energy stored during the day.

● In order to save water during the driest months, Navasol’s perimeter has been covered with pebble Stone from a nearby river and native plants that do not require artificial watering.
