• Corruption is a serious crime • Undermine social and economic development • increases the cost of doing business • it distorts markets & impedes economic growth. • More importantly it also results in malfunctioning state
institutions and weak governance.
INTRODUCTION
Enactment of the Emergency Order, Prevention of Corruption on 1st January 1982 Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) was established on 1st February 1982.
Youths are a valuable asset to a nation. 55% of Brunei’s population is youth (aged 15-40 years)
They are future leaders who lead our nation
Youths need to be educated and guided to the right path to become a knowledgeable and high morale generation
Perfect youths is the hope of every nation

The inclusion of corruption prevention education into national curriculum in 2006. (Joint cooperation with Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education). The program is the landmark and the first of its kind launched in this Region
Anti corruption lectures at Secondary schools, Pre universities and Higher Institutions. Activities also include dialogue sessions, quiz and surveys
The objective of corruption prevention education is to educate the new generation of youths with anti corruption awareness, good values and integrity

•Role of Students in Higher Institutions in Combating and Preventing Corruption in Brunei Darussalam
The Government aspiration to produce generation of youths who are dynamic, competence, high discipline, excellence and with integrity
It started in 2011 with three pilot programs before it was fully implemented by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in 2014
Participated by youths aged 15-22 years
Project
•The program is jointly organised by Anti-Corruption Bureau, Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque Committee Members Kampung Serusop.
Objective
•To increase awareness on corruption and to promote awareness on ethical values as a foundation of Integrity among individuals through the inculcation of good ethical and moral values
Program
• A dialogue session between the NACC Youth Ambassador and Brunei Darussalam Youth
Date • 18th November 2015
Objective
• To share experience and good practice on promoting integrity and anti-corruption strategies between both Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Thailand.
CONCLUSION
Holistic approach and collective action from all the relevant stakeholders is crucial in the fight against corruption.
Youth is a national asset, who plays an important role in the future development of the country. Therefore we must take this essential opportunity to build a society that despised corruption.
