STRUCTURE

The pavilion is composed o 50mm by 100mmlengths o sawn timber

which are supported at the base by a number o

steel rods mounted on metposts.

Two areas o seating placed at key areas act as a

base, giving the individual walls stability.

The two walls are tied together at the top to

brace against wind loads and to provide urther

stability.

Using only dry joints and xings the pavilion is

ully demountable.

ASSEMBLY GUIDE

OFF-SITE COMPONENTS1- 50mm x 100mm sawn treated timber to be cut into diferent

types o typical blocks

50 x 100 x 750mm

50 x 100 x 300mm

50 x 100 x (700-2500mm)

2- 25mm Dia holes are drilled at some o the blocks

3- All the blocks are carried to the site (approx. 720pcs)

ON-SITE CONSTRUCTION1- The position o the metpost are marked

according to the designcurve using the grid system

2- The 3 metposts are tap 24 into the ground

3- 3 x 3 connecting blocks are inserted into

the metposts

4 - 500mm Acetal black rods are mounted

through the connecting blocks

5- Slot the holed timber blocks through the

metal poles in an

arrangement o brick laying method

6- Timber blocks above 500mm height are

xed together by screws

7- Timber strips are xed across the walls
