Un Mensaje del Principal.
Dear Weatherbee Families:
Another year has came and gone and Weather-
bee Elementary finished off the month of December with
some outstanding events. The Holiday Store, and Pan-
cake Breakfast with Santa ( hosted by our wonderful
PTO) along with our 5th grade chorus performing during
the FSA/i-Ready Family Night helped to bring our families
together and share in the holiday spirit.
The end of 2017 was a big success and leads us
into 2018 where the start of the New Year is always excit-
ing. I know many of the New Year’s Resolutions you
made will help your child be successful in school. If you
didn’t make any, or would like to add a couple more, here
are a few that will really make a difference for your child.
Participate in school activities.
Work with your child on his or her school work. Build on
your child’s strengths and try to improve upon his or her
weaknesses.
Know what is going on at school. Always read the par-
ent newsletter and like important papers that come
home, and visit our Weatherbee Facebook page.
Communicate with your child’s teacher and school.
Talk to the teacher and stay informed about his or her
progress.
Discuss the importance of school with your child. Show
a genuine concern about what is going on and the ac-
tivities your child is participating in.
Provide your child an opportunity to be working on our
online I– Ready program. See details inside.
Read with your child or make sure they read every
night.
Adding these few New Year’s Resolutions will go a long
way in making your child’s school year a lot more suc-
cessful. All of us at Weatherbee Elementary wish you and
your family a joyous New Year.
Sincerely,
Michael Hitsman Kimberly Cain

Si no
Sinceramente,
Michael Hitsman Kimberly Cain

FSA/ i-Ready Family Night
Weatherbee hosted FSA/ i-Ready Family Night on Thursday,
December 14th, 2017. It was a huge success! We had a dinner
and a show. Our guests enjoyed a delicious pasta dinner with
red sauce, salad, rolls, cookies, and Iced-Tea/Lemonade; while
our 5th Grade perform holiday music. Parents/Guardians
learned about important assessments and ways to support
learning at home! The night was filled with exciting activities as
students danced the night away, painted rocks, customized
fabulous book marks, and played with Tangrams. The night
ended with a Raffle and giveaways. Thank you to those that
attended. Our students are going to ROCK FSA’s this year!
