    but-2-enyl)-xanthen-9-one) and gamma-mangostin (1,3,6-trihydroxy-2,8-bis-(3-

    600 gram of dried mangosteen rind are

    combined with 3000 L. of ethanol and

    continueous extraction for 10 hours.

    To receive crude extract by using rotaryevaporator. This method also can be with

    methanol and ethyl acetate.

    Analysis of xanthone by using LC-MS.

    Analysis of alpha-mangostin, gamma-mangostin and other xanthone derivatives

    have been made by using LC-MS with UV

    detector , wavelength 254 nanometer. ,Hypersil ods column, 150x4.6 mm. 5µM,

    at 40 C and mobile phase 0.1% (v/v)

    acetic acid in water , A and 95% (v/v)methanol ,B . For mobile phase gradient

    program, 65-90% B for 40 mins., rate 1 ml

    per min., injection volume 10 microlitre.

    by using spray dryer.

    50 % of mangosteen juice ,

    15% of maltodextrin, and

    35% water are homogenized before

    spraying to receive mangosteen

    Result and Discussion. 

    Ethanol and methanol extracts are 21.75-24.33% and 20.8-22.8% of dried

    mangosteen rind respectively.

    Mixture of ethyl acetate and water (1:1 v/v)extracts are 7.8-10.36% of driedmangosteen rind.

    extraction or maceration.The mangosteen rind extract mainly
