•07. Progressing into the fringe, take horizontal slices and apply Formula 1 from the new growth through to the mid-lengths and ends, until the section is complete.

•06. Working into the irregular rectangle section, apply Formula 2 from the new growth through to the mid-lengths and ends until the section is complete. Repeat the same on the opposite side.

•02. Take a radial parting from ear to ear, followed by a profile parting from the crown to the nape. This creates 2 sections. Take a irregular square section from the crown, sitting 4 inches back from the hairline. Secure all sections with TIGI PRO sectioning clips.

•03. Take a square section through the fringe area. From the radial, create a crescent shape, starting 2 inches above the ear, to high recession. Above the crescent shape, the remaining hair creates an irregular rectangle section. Secure and repeat on the opposite side.

•01. Create a side parting following the haircut and natural fall of the hair.

•08. Continuing into the final irregular square section, take horizontal slices and apply Formula 2 from the new growth through to the mid-lengths and ends. Once the section is complete isolate with TIGI copyright©olour meche strips.

Natural level: 6/0 Dark Blonde.

An irregular sectioning technique was used to complement the haircut, creating an overall deep grape tone with vibrant plum hues.

Style Tip:A take on sports-luxe. High-tech

fabrics, bold prints and splashes of

strong colourare strong yet

•04. Put on protective gloves. Begin the application at the nape, using diagonal slices apply Formula 1 from the new growth through to the mid-lengths and ends. Continue until the section is complete. Isolate with TIGI copyright©olour meche strips.

•05. From the radial, progress into the crescent section. Take horizontal slices applying Formula 1 from the new growth to the mid-lengths and ends. Continue until complete. Isolate with TIGI copyright©olour meche strips and repeat on the opposite side.

•09. Once the application is complete, process for 35 minutes; then emulsify, rinse and remove, using Bed Head by TIGI Urban Antidotes Recovery shampoo and conditioner.

•01a. After shampooing and conditioning with Bed Head Colour Goddess, apply Control Freak Serum followed by On The Rebound to act as the cutting agent.

•11. Continue with wide vertical sections towards the front. Using the guide from each previous section, remove the weight and adjust the elevation to retain the perimeter length.

•01b.

•12. At the ear, use a higher elevation and over-direction to maintain the length at the front perimeter.

•07. Repeat the same technique on the opposite side of the head.

•17. Continue with vertical sections towards to sides. Over-direct each section slightly back to each previous section and follow the guide from the centre.

•06. Continue towards the back with the same technique, slightly increasing the length towards the centre back.

•16. Now take a vertical section from the crown to the front hairline. Comb the hair to 90˚ and elevate to 45˚. Using the guide from the crown, remove weight and length by cutting from short to long, while creating a slight disconnection to the fringe.

•02. Take a profile part from the forehead to the nape followed by a radial division from ear to ear, across the crown.

•13. Maintain hand and body position and repeat the same technique on the opposite side of the head.

•08a. Work with diagonal forward sections within the fringe. Comb the hair to its natural fall and reshape from short to long using a low elevation.

•18. Detail and create separation within the fringe using the tip of the razor.

•08b.

•19. Slice through to create a shattered perimeter, working from the bottom upwards.

•09. The remaining hair within the front section is elevated to 45˚ and cut following the guide.

•20. Further detail the perimeter and the fringe with channel-cutting.

•10. Now take a vertical section in the centre nape. Comb and elevate the hair to 90˚ and remove the weight by razor cutting the hair from short to long.

•21. Apply Bed Head Manipulator Matte to give separation and finish with Flexi Head for a pliable hold.

•04. Proceed by taking a soft, irregular zigzag section at the sides and back. This separates the interior from the perimeter.

•15a. Continue with pivoting sections towards the sides. Cut the remaining hair within the back section, on both sides of the head, using the same technique.

•05. Start the cut at the side. Comb the hair to its natural fall and using a razor, establish the length at a low elevation.

•15b.

•03. Then take a triangular section at the front to isolate the fringe area.

•14. Release the crown and from within this area take a central vertical section. Comb and elevate the hair to 90˚and cut slightly from shorter to longer to create disconnection to the underneath area.

Disconnection and layering give this cut an urban edge. The strong, purple, street-smart colour makes the overall look alluring.
