HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE FONT?

CHANGE FONT ATTRIBUTES• Attributes is how it looks.

• Size

• Style (bold, italic, underlined)

• Add Color or Special Effects

• Font Size is determined by measuring the height of characters in units which are called points.

• Standard sizes are 10, 11, 12

• Font Style is formatting feature you can apply to a font to changes its appearance

CHANGING TEXT EFFECTS• Text effects or font effects are similar to font styles and can help enhance or clarify text

COPYING FORMATTING• Often spend more time Formatting

• Format painter: copy the format of selected text to other text.

• Style is a set of formatting options that have been named and saved.

• Using Styles can save time and add consistency to a document

• Example: A Research paper is using headings you can set up your styles to make sure that they are in a “heading style”

THEME• A theme is a coordinated set of fonts, styles, and colors.

• The theme determines font, color of headings, and formatting

• A gallery of themes are located on the Page Layout tab
