Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the article entitled “A student’s life” which was written by James Faraday. I believe the writer’s opinion is subjective and doesn’t disclose the truth about the situation. Firstly, what I found unreasonable was the fact that the author offended thousand of students by stating they are “lazy” and “unproductive”. In fact, surveys show that more than 60% of students have part-time jobs such as babysitter or waiter/waitress. There are even jobs that help them develop their academic skills (e.g.: teaching assistant, peer tutor etc.). Also, a small percentage of students have full scholarships which means their parents will not have to pay tuition. Secondly, Mr. Faraday said that most students live in luxury, which is incorrect. Not only do they live in three (or more) people dormitories, but also personal bathrooms are not always available. Adjusting from having your own room and bathroom to having to share them with other five roommates is not easy for everyone. Lastly, contrary to popular belief, a student’s life does not consist only of parties and entertainment. It includes hard deadlines, homework and examinations as well as the ever- loathed finals. In addition, they are continuously pressured to work hard and find a job with a high salary which could make even the most collected adult stressed. In conclusion, I trust this matter will be dealt with as soon as possible and I look forward to reading articles which are from a more objective perspective. Yours faithfully, Jane Smith. Dear Susan, Thank you so much for your letter! I still can’t believe how unfair some people are to us students! I actually listened to your advice and wrote a letter to the editor of the magazine. Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the article entitled A students life which was written by James Faraday. I believe the writers opinion is subjective and doesnt disclose the truth about the situation.

Firstly, what I found unreasonable was the fact that the author offended thousand of students by stating they are lazy and unproductive.

Lastly, contrary to popular belief, a students life does not consist only of parties and entertainment. It includes hard deadlines, homework and examinations as well as the ever-loathed finals. In addition, they are continuously pressured to work hard and find a job with a high salary which could make even the most collected adult stressed.

In conclusion, I trust this matter will be dealt with as soon as possible and I look forward to reading articles which are from a more objective perspective.

Yours faithfully,

Jane Smith.

Dear Susan,

Thank you so much for your letter! I still cant believe how unfair some people are to us students! I actually listened to your advice and wrote a letter to the editor of the magazine. Long story short, I just told them how wrong and biased the writers opinion is. It bothers me so much when people dont take into consideration other peoples opinions and points of view! Anyway, thats all I wanted to tell you for now. Write to me soon!Hugs and kisses,

Jane.
