FF (Flange Free) Installation Each Forecast (SRT) series fixture is designed for a specific mounting application. The FF (Flange-Free) fixture must be installed prior to drywall installation. Lamping, wiring, and continuous run assembly is universal across the family of fixture profiles.

1

In preparation of installation, remove the fixture from the package and separate the included components. Fixture will arrive with spacer brackets installed — these must be removed in order to separate the included components, but will need to be replaced prior to Step 2.

Attach the sheetrock to the fixture, fastening fixture by drilling screws through the flange into anchors or blocking. Make sure not to force the sheetrock or studs/blocking against the fixure housing sides as to distort the fixture opening.

Check the fit of the lens — if it appears bowed or loose, remove the screws on one side of the fixture, adjust the fixture so that it fits flat and snug, and then reinstall screws. Ensure the fit of the lens by temporarily reinstalling, but remove prior to plastering. Finally, remove spacer brackers prior to next step.

5

For continuous run/pattern installations: after first fixture has been installed, repeat steps 1 and 3 – 6 on this page for each subsequent fixture. Proceed with Housing & Run Assembly Installation and Run Wiring Instructions on page 4 of this document. Finally, complete the installation by reinstalling the geartray and lenses.

The Forecast series is available in three widths (nominally 3”, 4”, and 6”) and five different mounting methods. These combinations allow for maximum flexibility that will meet any space or need. The diagrams shown here are the three widths available in the LED-lamped FF mounting option.

Ensure all main power is turned off at electrical panel before servicing Do not attempt installation or maintenance on electrically live product All electrical connections to be made by a qualified electrician or electrical contractor

WARNINGS

These Installation Instructions apply to the Forecast3, Forecast4, and Forecast 6.

ForecastForecast will arrive with a fully assembled static nominal length beginning (A) and middle (B) of fixture (each comprised of fixture housing, LED tray(s), and lens). The end of the fixture (C,D) is comprised of the adjustable LED tray (E), the end of fixture trim (F) and the end of fixture lens (G). Measure remaining ceiling opening for assembly and installation of adjustable end of fixture.

Locate end of fixture trim and lens components. Cut trim to ceiling opening size less 1/8” (to account for end cap). Cut lens to match trim length.

Assemble 2 piece gear tray. Thread wire from section B through slot in section A. Over lap trays per required length, join wires via quick connect, and tighten down screws from section B into stand offs in section A.

Install pre set adjustable gear tray into assembled adjustable housing using #8 x 1/4” type B screws. See last page of this document for wiring instructions.

Install assembled adjustable end of row fixture into remaining ceiling opening. Important: If installing FF profile, see notes about stabilizing brackets on page 1, step 5 of this document.

Mount end of fixture trim flush to adjustable housing Section C using self drilling screws.

Mount adjustable housing Section D flush with end of trim using self-drilling screws. Important: Use provided rivets to connect housing end cap and FF/BG flange to trim. Only install rivets after trim is cut. Install using provided pop rivets after housing is set to correct length.
