Aerial view of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea TOURISM NEW BRUNSWICK
Sitting on the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick's St. Andrews-by-the
Sea brims with scenic beauty. As one of the oldest settlements in
the province, the town is steeped in history and boasts one of the
most iconic resorts in Canada, The Algonquin. Separated from
Maine by only a bay, Saint Andrews was founded by Loyalists
from Castine, in the aftermath of the American Revolution. Today,
this charming seaside resort destination provides ample
opportunities to bask in the sunshine on its beautiful beaches,
catch sightings of incredible marine life and revisit history.

Roosevelt Summer House on Campobello Island LAVANYA SUNKARA
As the ferry approaches the dock of Campobello, an island in the
Bay of Fundy, the massive red-hued, two-and-a-half story cottage
is hard to miss. This imposing building was the summer getaway
of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his family. Campobello is
home to Roosevelt Campobello International Park, run by both
the United States and Canada.
From the spacious living room adorned with wicker furniture, a
telescope and floral wallpaper, you can see waving flags of both
countries proudly displaying a strong friendship. The park is a
combination of indoor and outdoor sites, including the FDR home
and a 2,800-acre natural area.
