General Information Regarding Examination

● QUALIFICATIONSLOWER DIVISION CLERKQualification and Experience : (a) Matri-culation or equivalent. (b) Minimum speed 30words per minute in English typing or 25words per minute in Hindi typing providedthat a person not possessing the samequalification in typing may be appointedsubject to the condition that he will not beeligible for increment in the scale orconfirmation till he acquires 30 w.p.m. inEnglish typing or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi typing.

Desirable : Should have basic knowledge ofComputer.

STORE-KEEPERQualification and Experience : Essential :10 + 2. Desirable : Basic knowledge ofComputer Application having ‘O’ LevelCertificate as per department of ElectronicsAccreditation Committee Certificate(DOEACC).

STENOGRAPHERQualification and Experience : ( a )Matriculation or equivalent with English/Hindias one of the subjects. (b) Knowledge ofStenography. (c) Speed of 100 words perminute in stenography (English) 40 words perminute type writing. Provided that to theextent persons possessing a speed of 100w.p.m. are not available persons possessingspeed of 80 w.p.m. shall be eligible.

FIREMANQualification and Experience : (a) Mustpossess middle school (8th Class) passcertificate from recognized school. (b) Musthave adequate knowledge of operational use offire fighting equipment. (c) Must be physicallyfit and capable of performing strenuous duties.This requirement will be tested as under :

(i) Height without shoes 165 cm, (ii) Chest(Unexpanded) : 81.5 cm (Expanded) : 85 cm,(iii) Weight 50 kg minimum.

Endurance Test(i) Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 kg to adistance of 183 mtrs. within 96 seconds), (ii)

Clearing 2.7 mtrs. wide ditch landing on bothfeet (Long jumps), (iii) Climbing 3 mtrs.vertical rope using hands and feet.

● AGE(a) For the Post of Lower Division Clerk,Store-Keeper and Stenographer between 18years to 27 years. (b) For the post of Fireman :Between 18 years to 37 years.

Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years forSC/ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years forPhysically Handicapped (PH) and for othercategories as per Govt. rules.

● GENERAL CONDITIONSNote :(i) The crucial date for determining the age

and eligibility shall be the closing / lastdate for receipt of the applications.

(ii) Experience acquired after passing theessential qualifications only shall beentertained.

(iii) Persons having more than 40% disabilityare eligible for the posts prescribed forPhysically Handicapped (PH) category.

(iv) Candidates applying for the post againstPhysically Handicapped quota shouldenclose a medical certificate issued byMedical Board or by a Civil Surgeonwhere such Medical Board does not existin support of his/her claim with regard tothe physical disability.

The experience certificates must containperiod with dates, name of the post held,salary drawn and nature of work done etc.

The qualifications and experience prescribedfor the above posts are minimum and merepossession of the same does not entitle anycandidate to be called for test/interview.Where number of the applications received forthe above posts will be large and where it willnot be convenient or possible for this factoryto call all the eligible candidates fortest/interview, the factory may restrict thenumber of candidates to be called fortest/interview to a reasonable limit on the basisof qualifications and experience higher than asprescribed in the advertisement.
