READING THE CLASS SCHEDULEORIENTATION - Most video and web classes require some form of orientation. Orientation is used to give students important information about the course. Following are examples of the different types of orientation:

Online Orientation, email instructor at (email address) between (dates) - students must send instructor an email introducing themselves at some time during the dates given. The instructor will respond with the information needed for the class.On-Campus Orientation, Day, Date, Time, Room - orientation will be held on campus on the specified day, date, time, and room. If students are unable to attend orientation on the specified date and time, which varies by class, they need to contact the instructor.

VIDEO CLASSES - Classes with section numbers that include a “V” are Video classes. These classes require students to check out the necessary videos from the Wampler Library (student ID required). Students will then utilize the videos, textbook, and Blackboard to complete the required coursework as stated in the class syllabus. These classes require students to take tests/exams in a proctored environment.WEB CLASSES - Classes with section numbers that include a “W” are Web classes. In courses offered in this delivery format, all instruction is web-based.COMPRESSED VIDEO - Classes with section numbers that include a “C” are Compressed Video classes. These are courses delivered via video to two or more sites. Students may be at a different location than the instructor.INDEPENDENT STUDY - Classes with section numbers that include an “X” are Independent Study classes. These are highly individualized, planned studies.HYBRID - Classes with section numbers that include an “H” are Hybrid classes. These classes require students to attend class on-campus less often by utilizing on-line components that can be completed at home.
