Order Form ...........................23

If you have questions, we likely have answers in publications from the LSU AgCenter.

Our extension educators and research scientists are experts on everything from growing roses to getting rid of termites, from surviving a hurricane to controlling fire ants and from growing crops and livestock to raising children so they become responsible adults.

This catalog lists publications available from both branches of the LSU AgCenter – the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service and the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station.

In general, Extension Service publications are written for the general public and contain research-based information that benefits Louisiana’s residents.

On the other hand, Experiment Station publications generally are more technical in nature and are of interest mainly to scientists and researchers.

Hard copies of the publications are available unless they are marked “online only.” Online-only publications are available only in pdf format.

Some of these publications are available through parish LSU AgCenter offices, but you may order any of them by using the form included at the back of this catalog. The publications listed here also may be ordered from the publications section of our Web site at www.lsuagcenter.com, and many of them are available to download from that site.

We appreciate your interest in our publications and hope you find we have useful answers to your questions.

Agritourism

Agritourism is a business operation on a working farm, ranch or agricultural enterprise that offers educational and fun experiences for visitors while generating supplemental income for the owner.

Visitors participate in friendly “discovery” and learning activities in natural or agricultural settings. Because it blends entertainment and education, agritourism is also known as “agrientertainment,” “agritainment.”
