What is an “Air Rifle”?

An Air Rifle, also known as a Pellet Gun is essentially a very powerful Nerf gun. They both use metal springs to make an object go fast. Even though it has the word ‘rifle’, or ‘gun’ in it, I can assure you it has almost nothing to do with one. The way Air Rifles work is the barrel breaks in half, which does 2 things. 1. It pushes back the spring. 2. It opens the barrel to load the pellet. The Air Rifle I want is completely legal, fun, and is relatively inexpensive fun for the years it will last.

Crosman, and it is called a Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk edition. It uses a very new technology called a nitro piston. I’m not exactly sure how it works, but apparently it is quieter, more reliable, less kick, and slightly more accurate.

It currently retails at D & L Airgun which is a Canadian online airgun retailer, and it cost $190. It comes with a sight, and has very good reviews. The pellet is also highly recommended, and is designed for target shooting and accuracy. It also has 2 safeties.

Why You Should Let me Have One1. I will only use it outside, and when Daisy is

inside.2. I will also only use it to shoot pop cans, bottles,

and targets. I will not shoot any outdoor (or indoor) animals, birds, or other wildlife.

3. I will take good care of it. It comes with a cleaning and maintenance kit that includes gear to make it last for many years. I am also very responsible, if I do say so myself, and I will keep it in good shape.

4. It is very fun! This gives me something I like to do, and I can do it for hours. Nobody gets hurt, I have fun, win/win!

5. I’ll be spending time outside, having fun, instead of spending time inside on my electronics.6. It won’t be bothering you guys, and if you don’t trust me with it we can make a rule that makes me only be able to use it when you are with me, supervising me.7. The Air Rifle isn’t very powerful (which I don’t mind, it won’t matter anyway) so even if I wanted to (which I don’t, so no need to worry) it couldn’t kill an animal.

Rules1. Only use it when Daisy is indoors, so she wouldn’t

accidently get injured.2. I will absolutely not shoot any wildlife. I don’t

want to (I like animals too!), and you guys don’t want me to, so I won’t. Anyways, I’ve calculated that even if, for some bizarre reason one did get hit, it almost couldn’t die. The Air Rifle isn’t powerful enough.

3. As I mentioned before, if you want, I can only use it when you’re with me.

4. I’ll be responsible, smart, and try my very best to make sure nobody gets hurt by it.

DetailsThe cost of absolutely everything I need to use it, maintain it, transport it, and last the whole summer is $289.95. Now yes, I know that is a bit expensive, but I’m going to offer a deal. First, this would an early 14th birthday present from you. Second, I know that we are planning on cleaning up the cottage this summer, so I’m offering unlimited (within reason) work. This includes power washing windows, emptying garbage cans, other things like that. Also, if that is not enough, I’m also willing to add some of my own funds to help achieve the ultimate cost of the order.

Note: The Air Rifles used in these video travel more than double the speed of the one I want. The American version can shoot 1200 Feet Per Second, but the Canadian one is only 495 best case scenario, proving it even less powerful.
