YOUTH AMBASSADORS FOR SOUTHWEST CULTURES SPRING 2020 INTERNSHIP Youth Ambassadors for Southwest Cultures interns earn $150 working with National Park Service rangers and Ironwood Tree Experience staff to document the stories of the diverse communities living along the Santa Cruz River between Nogales and Tucson, AZ. Interns will explore natural environments and human cultures in order to develop interpretive resources for the Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail, which will be used to directly serve public schools in Southeastern Arizona. INTERNSHIP DURATION: JANUARY 11TH - APRIL 25TH, 2020 APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 4TH, 2020 Requirements: • Must be high school- or college-aged student, 14-20 years old. • Must attend all after-school sessions, weekend field trips, and a 5-day spring break camping expedition (March 16th - 20th). • Must provide 1 teacher reference. Benefits: • Class credit available (with teacher approval) • Add to your resume and portfolio of skills for future jobs and scholarship opportunities • Become eligible for ITE's 2020 summer program, American Experience: Alaska • Automatic member of ITE's Youth Action Corps. INTERNSHIP

Youth Ambassadors for Southwest Cultures interns earn $150 working with National Park Servicerangers and Ironwood Tree Experience staff to document the stories of the diverse communities living

along the Santa Cruz River between Nogales and Tucson, AZ. Interns will explore natural environments and human cultures in order to develop interpretive

resources for the Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail, which will be used to directly servepublic schools in Southeastern Arizona.
