If you chose to create and map these attributes, you still need to add the created attributes to your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Account and Lead entity forms by using the instructions in the following section. If you chose NOT to create these attributes and are using a pre-existing D-U-N-S Number field in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment, you can skip this section and go to the next section “Custom Field Mapping in Accounts, Contacts and Leads” to do the required mapping.

Note: The MS CRM Parent Customer attribute is automatically mapped for the Contact record during the installation process, but you will not see it in the field mappings.

Access Hoover’s provides you with the flexibility to assign Hoover’s datapoints to your existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM fields to maintain the integrity of your own database. For example, you can map the Hoover’s datapoint “Doing Business As” to an existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM field for “DBA,” if a company’s DBA is important to your organization. You are also able to create new attributes in Microsoft Dynamics CRM for mapping available Hoover’s datapoints. For example, if you don’t currently have a Biography field on your Contact entity, you can create it, add it to the Contact form and map to the Hoover’s datapoint for Biography. Most field mapping is optional, but there is one required field – the D-U-N-S Number. This Hoover’s field must be mapped to a field in Microsoft Dynamics CRM on the Account and Lead records. If you had these fields added during the installation process, then they are already mapped for you. Note: You will be unable to save your mapping assignments unless the D-U-N-S Number field is mapped on the Account and Lead mapping page. You can use the instructions below for mapping fields to Lead, Account and Contact records. The only difference will be that the D-U-N-S Number field is not required for Contact records.

Page 24: for Microsoft Dynamics CRM - images.hoovers.comimages.hoovers.com/images/pdfs/AH_for_MSCRM_Online_33009.pdf · For your Microsoft Dynamics CRM users to be able to use Access Hoover’s,

CRM Attributes that are integers will only be able to be mapped to integer fields in Hoover’s. When you have completed mapping, click on the Save All Changes button and close window.

3. Repeat the above process for Lead and Contact records.
