Ashtamgam Ayurveda Chikitsalayam & Vidyapeedham (AACV) is an institute of a class of its own established under the aegis of Ashtanga Educational Trust (AET) in the year 2011 which is dedicated for the cause of reviving the legacy of a great tradition of Ayurveda. AACV is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM)(R.12011/40/2015-EP(IM1) and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) (7990/AcB/kuhs/2015). It offers bachelor degree in ayurveda called BAMS (Ayurvedacharya- Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from the academic year 2016-17 onwards.

AACV will be a fully residential institute with its concept of functioning hired from the ancient Indian GURUKULA system of imparting knowledge. Apart from ayurveda, the students will get ample opportunity to get acquainted with all other traditional knowledge systems of India. Each student will be under the direct guidance of his/her respective GURU all throughout the study-period. Note : Cutoff date of admission is 30th September 2017 as per revised MSR - 2016

Pass in +2 with 50 % marks for Biology and 50% aggregate for Physics, Chemistry, Biology put together. For BUMS candidate should have passed 10th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as subject or clear the test of Urdu in the Entrance Examination conducted by a body authorised by the Govt. to conduct such an Examination.

The duration of the course is 5 ½ years including 1 year compulsory rotational internship.

(4) Method of Admission

(4.1) Merit Seats

Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE, ) Kerala will allot NEET qualified applicants based on applicants' choice in the application form and as per their rank list adopting reservation policies.

(4.2) Management Seats

Students will be admitted on the basis of merit list prepared according to percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination from among the applications received by the college from the candidates who have been qualified and included in the list prepared by CEE, Kerala.

(4.3) Non Resident Indian (NRI) & Non Keralite (NK-II) Seats

NRI / NK-II seats are filled on the basis of marks in the plus two examination and as per conditions of agreement between Kerala Govt. and KISMA
