AGENDA

Dr. Wijesinghe is an assistant clinical professor at UC Davis & HIV specialist at Adventist Health in USA. His interests include care for underserved populations, HIV medicine & global health. He was awarded the HIV/AIDS fellowship research at the American Conference for the Treatment for HIV in 2014. Presently, he is investigating if the HIV provider shortage is a threat for the U.S. health care system. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management from Bellevue University in Nebraska. He earned a Master of Science in Management Information Systems with Business Administration from the University of Nebraska and also a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Union College in Nebraska. He completed an HIV/AIDS Clinical Fellowship at UCSF with Fresno Family and Community Medicine. He completed a Doctor of Health Science with an emphasis on Global Health from A.T. Still University.

Sharwani Vijayshree Lal is currently working as a Medical Officer at a Central Government Hospital in the capital of India. She has developed sharp acumen and insight in effective clinical judgement. Her passion for meticulous and comprehensive management of a case, has matured during her rewarding exposure to healthcare in hospitals and educational institutions over the years. This study, capturing profile of opportunistic infections in patients with HIV, effectively demonstrates the significance of sound assessment and diligent handling of a case.

Hiroshi Ohrui received Ph D. Degree (1971) from The University of Tokyo.He joined Riken (1966), moved to Tohoku University (1981) and to Yokohama University of Pharmacy (2006). He worked for Dr. J. J. Fox at Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research (1972-1973) and Dr. J. G. Moffatt at Syntex Research (1973-1974).He received several awards including The Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry Award (2004), and Japan Academy Prize (2010). His research interests cover organic synthesis, chemical biology and chiral discrimination.

David Bradley is the Project Manager for a Special Projects of National Significance at the Osceola County Health Department in Florida. He has a Bachelor’s of Business Admin. from Edward Waters College and Master’s Degree in Health Admin. and Business Admin. from Webster University. He started his career in Infectious Disease at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious disease (USAMRIID) as an Infectious Disease flight medical specialist. He has since started and managed several projects for the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Substance Abuse and Mental Health, Service Administration (SAMHSA), Health Resources and Service Administration, and more. Mr. Bradley has also written and presented at several national training conferences for the American Public Health Association (APHA), CDC, SAMSHA, HIV/AIDS Planning and Leadership Summit (HPLS), and Ryan White. He is an adjunct professor and author who currently resides in Winter Springs Florida with his wife and children.

Dr. Robert W. Buckingham joins PHHS after having previously been appointed as the Jack W. Thompson, M.D. Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Michigan-Flint in 2013-14. A Yale graduate, Dr. Buckingham was appointed inaugural Executive Director/Dean of the School of Public Health with the University of Saskatchewan, in 2009. He has authored more than 12 books and many scientific referred papers, with the most recent being a textbook entitled, “A Primer on International Health” published by Allyn & Bacon, and five books on hospice care, including, “Care of the Dying Child” published by the Continuum Publishing Company, which was translated in seven languages. Research areas are Hospice care, Global public health and HIV/AIDS in South East Asia and Central America; He has wide range of publication and attended National or International Oral Presentations

Alena Fisenka was born on February 28, 1968. In the year 1994 she graduated from Belarusian State Medical University with specialization in sanitary, hygiene, epidemiology. Mrs. Fisenka attended many training courses at Belarusian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate education (2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011., 2011). She has experience in scientific and managerial work for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Fisenka got the highest qualification category on November 27, 2006. Alena Fisenka was awarded with honorable sign "Excellent worker of public health".

Author of more than 70 scientific works, co-author of 2 textbooks on the epidemiology of infectious diseases; one of the publications - the effectiveness of immunization of children with hepatitis A in Minsk, Belarus // The Journal of Viral Hepatitis, 2008 was included in the top 10 best publications of 2009 in the field of hepatitis A prevention according to the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Daniel G Garza’s expertise is in advocating for mental health and against social stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. Educating younger generations about HIV/AIDS. His career as an educator began in South Texas after his diagnosis with AIDS in 2000. After moving to Houston in 2001, he continued his work as a member of the Ryan White Planning Council, educating in undeserved schools and communities. After moving to Laguna Beach in 2009 he continues his advocacy work as a public speaker at local high schools, colleges, and universities. He earned his California Certification as an HIV Tester & Counselor in 2016. He continues to work with organizations at a national level bringing his knowledge and experience as a Latin Catholic, HIV Positive, and Gay man.

Julio has committed over 17 years to advancing the health equality and public health initiatives of the African-American/Latino Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBTQ) communities affected by HIV/AIDS and its related health & social disparities. He works extensively in the areas of non-profit administration & programming, contract management, public health marketing, public health research and organizational development.

Since the beginning of his career, he has been a tireless advocate on the front lines of addressing the impact of the HIV/AIDS and homeless epidemic in the United States.

Mr. Jostas is currently the President & Executive Director of Rwenzori Center for Research and Advocacy (RCRA) a not for profit organisation in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. RCRA deploys traditional and 21st century approaches in healthcare outreaches and economic empowerment, malnutrition and malaria prevention, Prevention of the transmission of HIV to children and care for those already infected. Deploys technology to monitor pregnancy health and track antenatal attendances and educate them on care for the newborn.

Mr.Jostas has undertaken numerous short courses in Public Health, 5 publications in the international health journal, has presented several abstracts at the international health and technology conferences in the United States, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, etc

Dr. Kanu Priya, am a post graduate resident in PGIMER and Dr RML Hospital, New Delhi. I completed my graduation in 2013 from the prestigious Safdarjung Hospital with a gold medal in Anatomy, Pathology and Medicine. I am a beginner in the field of research. I did work with HIV positive patients for two years . I have attended to more than 500 HIV positive patients in three years with myriad of HIV related infections and other conditions. I have also been an active part in there and their family’s counseling sessions.

Apart from my hospital work, I am an active part of an NGO. I work actively to provide healthcare services to the rural poor of India.

Nebiyu Ler Alaro, I am a graduate of Texila America University Guyana PHD in Public Health. I took up Education as a career after majoring in Nursing. I completed my Master’s education 2014 PHD Public Health 2018. I am currently living and working South Sudan Doctors with Africa CUAMM. Academically, I am interested in writing and research public health. . I’d like my career to revolve around researching for I believe in the power of words to induce change personally and globally. The capacity of words to make someone happy or sad has impressed me so much. To me, words are like math wherein one has to master and know a workable formula to deliver the right message.

Jean Nyamwiza graduted from College of Health Sciences, School of Medicine, Clinical Epidemiology Unit, Makerere University.He has undertaken numerous short courses in Public Health.

Anthony Wovisike Umetor is a PhD Fellow, Part-time Parliamentary Monitor and a passionate community HIV and AIDS activist. He was a former Executive Director of Community HIV/AIDS Initiative South Africa (CHARISA). He holds Masters and MPhil degrees in Sociology and HIV and AIDS Management respectively.

Felix Reyes Director for National Network of Youth living with HIV and / or AIDS REDNAJCER standing as a leader in the response of young people with HIV and is recognized nationally, regionally and internationally.

Yetnayet Abebe Weldsilase has completed her masters of public health in reproductive health speciality in 2016 from Jimma University, Ethiopia, East Africa. Her years work experience on HIV/AIDS prevention and care projects and her social work study in combination with her clinical nursing background provides her an insight on the need to assess extra factors explaining why HIV positive women are poor in quality of life even though they are good in ART adherence

Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya has completed his PhD at the age of 35 years from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria. He is the Head of Department of Medical Laboratory Science of Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. He has published more than 80 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.

Adeyemi A Abati completed is MBBS in 2004 at Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital ile –ife Nigeria, he was trained at the department of Infectious diseases during is residency. and he was able to provide several superior care and consultation that resulted in overall improvement of department patient’s satisfation quotient.

Adeyemi A Abati focused on patient’s treatment and re-evaluated several methods of therapy management dependent on infection types tailored to patient’s individual patient history and efficacy of previous treatments.

Adeyemi A Abati latter preceded and completed is master degree in public health at the same institution.

Adeyemi A Abati has then been practicing in department of Infectious disease at lagos university teaching hospital, one of the top tree infection disease hospital in Nigeria and also doing his PhD at the moment .

Ardalan Zargarian Jam was born in 1986 in Tehran. Ardalan Zargarian Jam realized that I am really interested in higher education. So Ardalan Zargarian Jam entered University of Applied Science and Technology and after that Roudehen Islamic Azad University in English Translation. At the same time he was working at the Iranian Research Center for HIV/AIDS As public relations officer and a member of the executive committee of Congress and conferences. He is interested in jobs that are typically public benefit.

Currently Ardalan Zargarian Jam is promoting individual abilities, skills in foreign languages, Translation skills and IT.Now Ardalan Zargarian Jam am working in Keili Sabz Publishing Institute. The main task of the institute is producing educational books before university.

Segundo Mesa Castillo. As Specialist in Neurology, he worked for 10 years in the Institute of Neurology of Havana, Cuba. He has worked in Electron Microscopic Studies on Schizophrenia for 32 years. He was awarded with the International Price of the Stanley Foundation Award Program and for the Professional Committee to work as a fellowship position in the Laboratory of the Central Nervous System Studies, National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke under Dr. Joseph Gibbs for a period of 6 months, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, Washington D.C. USA, June 5, 1990. At present he is member of the Scientific Board of the Psychiatric Hospital of Havana and give lectures to residents in psychiatry.

Aggrey David Mukose is a medical doctor with a masters in Health Services Research with over 10 years’ working experience in clinical care, research training, programs design and conducting of research projects. He has special interest in: HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, malaria, maternal and child health, adolescent health and non-communicable diseases including sexual and reproductive health with experience in using both well as qualitative and quantitative research methods. Aggrey has been the academic coordinator (2010 to date) for the Master of Health Services Research Program at Makerere University College of Health Sciences, School of Public Health where he has been involved in; teaching (undergraduate, masters, fellowship and short course students), research, and community service.

Aggrey is finalizing his PhD studies in the area of prevention of mother-to- child transmission of HIV at the University of Antwerp in Belgium.

Manuel Chifunga from to 2008 to 2011, was a Researcher in the Area of HIV and AIDS, Gender and Good Governance of the SADC Parliamentary Forum (Southern African Development Community) placed in the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique where he performs the following activities: Provide support in the area of research so as to track Parliamentary programs on HIV/AIDS and Governance. Establish and strengthen contacts with lead institutions, departments and ministries (National AIDS Commission, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Gender and Child Welfare…), NGOs, International Organisations (UNAIDS, WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF…) dealing with HIV/AIDS as well as organisations of people living with HIV/AIDS;

Nadine Kathlene Cinco-Almodovar has completed her Pediatric Residency Training at Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center last December 2017. She graduated from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Philippines. She is currenly a Medical Officer IV at Bicol Regional Training ang Teaching hospital in Region V.

Lyssa Rivera has experience working as a first responder with trauma victims. She is Behavioral Health Supervisor

and responsible for treatment as well as diagnosing, assessments, and treatment options. She make recommendations about mental health status. Lyssa Rivera Include Policy and program development, mediation, advocacy, arbitration and behavioral science research. International Representative for HTLV (Expert Speaker): Implement education and support to communities and families. Most of the referrals come in internationally.
