2017 is a year that the Year 7 students will cherish forever! Spending time together in their beautiful, ‘homey’ classroom, they have formed strong relationships, learnt to cook nutritious meals from their homegrown vegetable garden, created and maintained the Rivermont property with fun working bees. Last Saturday night, was the night to celebrate an AMAZING YEAR! The students are very grateful to the wonderful team of Year 7 parents who planned, decorated, cooked, served and cleaned up to make it a wonderful celebration.

A VERY SUCCESSFUL ‘MOVING UP’ DAY! Last Thursday, HCCS welcomed new students who will be joining

us in 2018 for an orientation day. They were ‘buddied up’ with

current students who will be in the same class as them next year.

At the same time, our current students moved into their new classes and met their new teachers in preparation for 2018.

A lot of fun was had as many classes played ‘getting to

know you’ games. It was a very exciting time for everyone!

Congratulations to Kallen (Year 7) on receiving a Bronze Medal in both the 200m Individual Medley and the 200m Freestyle at the Pacific School Games last week at Marion Pool. Kallen achieved PBs in both events.

34 children have graduated from the ELC this year in beautiful ceremonies conducted over the past two weeks

by Jenny Silver and Rosie Ferguson. Samples of work and personal stories were celebrated in this delightful rite

of passage where each ELC graduate was presented with a certificate and a picture Bible.
