1. Printout of the online application.

2. Copy of any latest Photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License, Pan Card, Passport,

Voter Card)

3. Printout of downloaded AIA-PGET -2019 result.

4. Nationality certificate/valid Passport, Domicile Certificate or School Leaving

Certificate of (SSC)/HSC. Indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian”

IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED

1. Candidates are required to go through the Prospectus carefully and acquaint

themselves.

2. Candidates can apply for Counselling only in online mode.

3. Prospectus can be downloaded from the University website i.e. www.graupunjab.org

4. Online submission of Application Form may be made by accessing University website

i.e. www.graupunjab.org

5. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Prospectus and University

website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

6. Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future

correspondence.

a. At least 2 printouts of online submitted application form.

b. Proof of fee paid.

c. 3 Copies of latest (taken after 01-01-2019) identical Photograph (should be passport

size with white background) that scanned and uploaded on the Online Application

form.

7. Photograph should not bear any cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed if being used

regularly. POLAROID and COMPUTER generated photos are not acceptable.

Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are

liable to be rejected. Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph

affixed is fabricated i.e. de-shaped or seems to be hand-made or computer made, the

form of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair

means practices and candidate would accordingly be dealt with the rules of unfair

means.

concerning Admission to MD(Ayurveda),MD(Homoeopathy) and Date of counseling

from time to time.

10. Candidate must ensure that mobile numbers, E-mail address filled in the online

application form are his/her own, as University will make communications by SMS or

mail on given mobile number and mailing ID only. The Candidate himself/herself shall

be held responsible for non-receipt of latest information due to wrong mobile number or

mailing address filled in the online Application form.

11. Fee can be remitted online on University website through Debit Card or Credit

Card. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode. Candidature will be cancelled,

who fails to deposit requisite fee.

12. Fee once deposited in the University account shall not be refunded/adjusted in any case.

13. Notwithstanding the participation of candidates in AIA-PGET-2019, only eligible

candidates, as per Government notification/s, shall be considered for admission.

14. In case of any discrepancy or contradiction between the Government notification/s and

the University instructions contained in the prospectus, the letter and the spirit of the

notification/s shall be prevailing however in academic matters the University shall be the

final authority.

16. 15% of total seats of All India Quota shall be filled by Govt. of India, Whereas remaining

85% seats of Punjab Quota Shall be filled by Guru Ravidas Ayurved University,

Hoshiarpur. In case 15% seats of All India Quota are not filled then Guru Ravidas

Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur shall take decision to fill these remaining unfilled seats.

1. Any change in the schedule of Counselling/Admission will be notified through

University website i.e.www.graupunjab.org

2. Eligibility conditions for admissions are governed by the Government of Punjab,

Department of Medical Education & Research, vide Notification No. No. 2/109/2011-

5HB-III 7059 Dated 24.10.2018 and as per instructions of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt of

India.

3. Candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully before filling and submitting the

ONLINE Admission Application FORM for admission to MD (Ayurveda) and

MD(Homoeopathy).

4. An error in filling of ONLINE Admission APPLICATION FORM may result in

rejection of such an Application Form. Corrections in the information given by the

candidate in the ONLINE Admission APPLICATION FORM may not be

permitted.

1. INTRODUCTION

Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab, Hoshiarpur was created with the promulgation

of the Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab Act, 2009 (Punjab Act No. 4 of 2010)

by the Punjab Legislative Assembly. This University regulates the conduct of both

undergraduate and postgraduate Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani teaching in 21

affiliated colleges in the State of Punjab..

This University is one of its own kinds in North India. It is presently poised for a

quantum leap in development and progress. The foundation stone of university campus

was laid on 9. 10. 2011 by Sardar Parkash Singh Ji Badal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of

Punjab and the administrative Block of University Campus in village Kharkan, Near

Hoshiarpur and just 10 km from Hoshiarpur city was inaugurated by Sh. Vijay Sampla,

Hon’ble Minister of State, Social Justice and Social Welfare, Government of India on

19.04.2016 . It will bring about major development in AYUSH and all basic, clinical and

allied departments to pursue on education and research. It will attract appropriate talent

from all over the country to work in its faculties. It will shortly start new AYUSH

courses.

Admissions to various post graduate courses in the affiliated institutions of this

University in the State of Punjab are made on merit basis of AIA-PGET-2019.

This prospectus is for admission to MD (Ayurveda) courses available in Govt. Ayurvedic

College, Patiala and Babe Ke Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, V.P.O-Daudhar, Distt-

Moga (Pb.) and MD(Homoeopathy) courses available in Shri Guru Nanak Dev Homoeopathy

Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana for the session 2019.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 The Government of Punjab vide Notification No. 2/109/2011-5HB-III 7059 has ordered

the Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab, to hold process of admission to MD

(Ayurveda) courses in Govt Ayurved College, Patiala and Babe Ke Ayurvedic Medical

College & Hospital, V.P.O-Daudhar, Distt-Moga (Pb.) and to MD(Homoeopathy)

courses in Shri Guru Nanak Dev Homoeopathy Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana

3. ELIGIBILITY

MD(Ayurveda)

A person possessing the Degree in Ayurved of a University or Board or Medical

Institution specified in the second schedule to the Act notified by the Department of

AYUSH, Govt. of India/CCIM, shall be eligible for admission in the Postgraduate degree

course.

MD(Homoeopathy)

Regular internal candidates:

No candidate shall be admitted to MD (Homoeopathy) course unless he/she possesses the

degree of

a) Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (Direct Degree) or equivalent

qualification in homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Homoeopathy

Central Council Act,1973(59 of 1973):

b) Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (Graded degree) or equivalent

qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the Homoeopathy

Central Council Act, 1973(59 of 1973):

Note: Compulsory Rotatory Internship is essential and must be completed upto 31th

October, 2019.

i. FEE REQUIRED WITH ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

a) Rs. 5000/-(Rs. 3000/- SC/ST) to be deposited online by using Debit card or Credit

card through University website i.e. www.graupunjab.org by due date and time.

5. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO FILL ONLINE ADMISSION

APPLICATION FORM.

i) Before applying, candidate should carefully read PROSPECTUS for eligibility

conditions and other important conditions.

ii) Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Submitting more than one

application by a candidate is liable to be rejected.

iii) After filling online application form by candidate, University will issue a unique

Registration Id. Registration Id (i.e. login Id will be provided to the candidate at

his/her registered Mobile Number through SMS and email.

v) Candidate should have to apply online on or before 30-08-2019. After this online

application form will not be available at the University website and no request

will be entertained in this regard.

vi) Date should be filled in the format of dd/mm/yyyy i.e. date/month/year.

viii) Registration Id is mandatory for further process, so keep it secret and won’t

disclose to any unknown person.

x) How to upload photograph, Signature, You have to login by entering your

Registration Id. The size of photograph, Signature, should not be more than 25KB

respectively. Candidate may use third party software i.e.

http://www.shrinkpictures.com to resize their photograph, Signature, before

uploading.

xi) Save Application: To get printout of your online application form you have to

save your application. Once you save and proceed you will not be able to edit

your application data, so be ensured that you have entered correct data

particularly check your Name, Date of Birth, categories etc. before save &

proceed.

xii) Go to Registration part II. Thereafter make payment online. After successful

payment print out will be possible

xiii) Candidates are advised to always Logout your application form when you are

leaving the computer.

Note: Please fill your valid mobile number and email address to receive information

regarding your application form time to time in the form of SMS and Email. You

will also receive your Registration Id on your given mobile number and email

address.

Important: No request will be entertained for any change in the application form.

6. MERIT LIST

The University will prepare a list of the applicants for admission out of the successful

candidates in the order of merit based on the AIA-PGET-2019 Rank and the provisions of

the Punjab Government Notification No. 2/109/2011-5HB-III 7059 dated 24.10.2018

and corrigendum issued from time to time and subsequent notifications in this regard

for the purpose of allotment of seats in the different courses/institutions by personal

appearance of the candidates before Selection Committee.

7. CHOICE OF THE SUBJECTS

The candidate can apply for more than one speciality and he would be considered as per

his/her merit on the basis of AIA-PGET-2019.

(a) When two or more candidates have secured equal marks in the AIA-PGET-2019 than

inter-se-merit shall be determined as under:-

i. Candidate with higher marks in qualifying examination.

ii. Candidate older in age

9. COUNSELLING

1. After provisional allotment of seat, if candidate does not report to the allotted college within

stipulated time, his/her seat would be vacated automatically and included in the vacancy position

for next subsequent counseling's.

2. For claims on reserved seats/categories/quotas wherever applicable, the candidates must support

their claim by attaching self attested photocopies of appropriate certificate(s)/documents issued

by competent authority as per specimens given in Annexures to this prospectus. Original

certificates/documents shall have to be produced by the candidate at the time of counselling at

counselling venue.

3. Counselling for admission to MD(Ayurveda) and MD(Homoeopathy) will be offline and

physical appearance of candidate is necessary as per the schedule given in the prospectus or

available at University website.

4. The fee structure for the Government/Privately managed colleges is as per Punjab Government

notification(s). If later on Punjab Government issues any amendment/corrigendum for change in

fee structure that will be applicable in letter and spirit.

10. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATE

a) In case any candidate is found to have furnished false information or certificate, etc,

or is found to have withheld or concealed information in his/her application form

he/she shall be debarred from admission to the centre.

b) Any attempt by a candidate to influence, directly or indirectly, any person concerned

with the admission will disqualify him/her.

c) The claim for seat under reserved category/ categories should be made by filling

appropriate column in the online Admission Application Form. The candidate must

support this claim by attaching attested photocopies of the certificate(s) by the

competent authority as per specimens given in Annexures to this prospectus.

Original certificates shall have to be produced by the candidates at the time Physical

Counselling in University.

d) Specimens of various certificates to be submitted by the candidate are at Annexures-

B to C.

e) The Fee can be remitted online on University website through Debit Card or Credit

Card. Fee shall not be accepted in any other mode. Candidature will be cancelled,

who fails to deposit requisite fee.

10. Fee

The Institute will charge the fee as per instruction issued by Punjab Government as well

as Guru Ravidas Ayurvedic University, Hoshiarpur time to time. The fee will be payable

on annual basis. In case of NRI the candidate may furnish a bank guarantee.

IMPORTANT EVENTS

1. Online Registration

a. Read Prospectus, Punjab Government Notification, Ministry of AYUSH

instructions as incorporated in the Prospectus for eligibility and other conditions.

b. Create account at University website i.e. www.graupunjab.org Candidate will be

issued Unique Registration ID.

c. The information desired to be filled in the online application such as applicant

name and date of birth, name of applicants father/mother with correct spellings as

per class 10th certificate.

d. Deposit application fee through Payment Gateway Available.

e. Upload latest photograph (25 kb Size) of applicant and signature

f. The candidates must ensure that all information filled in the application form is

correct specifically date of birth, spellings of name, father/mother's name and

categories claimed.

2. Counselling

Counselling will be offline and as per Punjab Government Notification, Ministry of

AYUSH and dates of counselling will be notified latter on University Website.

NOTIFICATION

Subject:- Admission to Post Graduate Ayurveda / Homeopathy courses in the State of

Punjab for the session 2018 & onwards.

No. 2/109/2011-5HB-III 7059 Dated:24.10.2018

1. General

1.1 The Governor of Punjab is pleased to notify the policy for admissions to AYUSH

Postgraduate degree courses i.e. M.D. (Ayurveda) and M.D. (Homoeopathy) in the

institutes situated in the state of Punjab from the year 2018 onwards.

1.2 All admissions to AYUSH PG courses (M.D. Ayurveda and M.D. Homoeopathy) in the

Government and Private Institutions situated in the state of Punjab shall be based on the

merit of All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIA-PGET 2018).

1.3 Preference will be given to candidates who are resident of Punjab, even if lower in merit

in the Entrance Test. The candidates from other states shall also be taken if Punjab

candidates are not available.

1.4 The counselling shall be conducted by the committee to be appointed by the Government.

1.5 The Government of Punjab is further pleased to authorize Guru Ravidas Ayurved

University, Hoshiarpur to conduct centralized counseling for admission to M.D.

Homoeopathy/M.D. Ayurveda on the basis of marks obtained in AIA-PGET 2018.

1.6 The application for admission, complete in all respect, shall be submitted to the Guru

Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur as per the scheduled notified by the University.

Fee and other charges for submission of application and counseling fee to be charged by

the University shall as under:

Rs. 5000/- for all other category Candidates

Rs. 3000/- for SC/ST Candidates

1.7 The schedule for commencement of classes, cutoff date, etc. shall be in accordance with

the schedule notified by the Central Council of Indian Medicine/ Central Council of

Homoeopathy.

1.8 The Governor of Punjab is further pleased to notify that all the institutions whether

Government or Private aided or unaided, minority or non-minority shall be covered by

this notification.

3. Distribution of seats and procedure for admission:-

Govt. Ayurvedic College:-

3.1 25% seats in each specialty shall be filled from amongst the eligible Ayurvedic Medical

officers with Govt. of Punjab and 75% seats in each specialty shall be open to all eligible

Ayurvedic graduates who are residents of the State of Punjab for example out of four

seats in Dravyaguna one seat will be filled amongst eligible Ayurvedic Medical Officers.

A. For 25% Seats in each specialty (In service A.M.O's)

(a) The test shall be open to the candidates who have completed five years of service. Date

of eligibility shall be the last date of submission of application form. Adhoc service shall

be counted towards calculation of minimum qualifying service. A certificate regarding

length of service as A.M.O. is required from the competent authority i.e. Director,

Research & Medical Education ,Punjab Chandigarh/ Director, Ayurveda Punjab.

(b) All A.M.O"s who are selected for admission to Post Graduate Courses under 25% quota

shall have to produce a "No Objection Certificate" from the competent authority i.e.

Director, Research & Medical Education, Punjab Chandigarh/Director Ayurveda Punjab.

(c) Ayurvedic Medical Officers selected under 25% quota will be sanctioned two years study

leave and one year leave of kind due as per the policy of Punjab Government and

Department of Health and Family welfare 's order Endorsement No2/4/2010-2Health-

7/2126-81 dated 17/7/2014.

B. For 75% seats in each specialty (open to all eligible Punjab residents):-

(a) A candidate holding recognized basic qualification in Ayurvedic System of Medicine i.e.

B.A.M.S/G.A.M.S. who are residents of the State of Punjab as per Department of

Personnel (Personnel policies Branch) vide letters No. 1/3/95-3PP11/9619, dated 6 June

2996 and No.1/2/95-3PP11/81 dated 1st January 1999., shall be eligible irrespective of

the college from where they have graduated.

(b) Any candidate holding employment shall have to produce a "No Objection Certificate"

from his/her employer.

(c) A.M.O's who get admission in PG course under 75% quota would be sanctioned extra

ordinary leave without pay for the period of the course from competent authority and will

be paid stipend at the rate specified by the Government separately.

3.2 Conditions, which applies to both 25% (in service) and 75% (open) category:-

After exhausting all the eligible candidates under 25% quota including candidates against

de -reserved seats, if any, the vacant seats due to non-availability of eligible candidates

shall be offered to the eligible candidates under 75% quota and vice-versa. For MD

(Ayurveda) course

3.3 The distribution of seats in Private Institutes will be as under:-

Govt Quota Seats : 50%

Management Quota Seats : 50%

4. General eligibility and conditions for admission to Post Graduate

Course

4.1 The eligibility will be as prescribed in the information brochure of All India AYUSH

Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIA-PGET) or as decided by Guru Ravidas Ayurved

University, Hoshiarpur based on the guidelines of Central Council of Indian Medicine

and Central Council of Homoeopathy.

4.2 Candidates who are residents of Punjab .The Punjab Resident Status of candidates will be

determined in terms of the instructions issued by the Govt. of Punjab, Department of

Personnel (Personnel Policies Branch) vide letters No.1/3/95-3PP11/9619, dated 6 June

1996 and No.1/2/95-3PP11/81 dated 1st January 1999.

4.3 Compulsory rotatory internship is essential. However candidates who after passing the

final basic qualifying examination and are undergoing compulsory Rotatory Internship

shall not be eligible for admission to the Post Graduate Courses unless they have

completed the compulsory rotatory internship by the specified cutoff date i.e. 31-7-2018.

They are required to obtain permanent registration with the concerned council/board

before admission.

4.4 The candidates should have permanent registration with the Punjab Board of Ayurvedic

& Unani System of Medicine of any other Board situated in India.

4.5 All such candidates referred to in para(4.4) above shall have to submit the documentary

proof, in original from the Principal/ Dean of the college, regarding the date of

completion of internship along with the application failing which their applications shall

be summarily rejected without any further reference in the matter.

5. Determination of merit for admission:-

5.1 Candidates securing marks in the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test

(AIA-PGET-2018) .

5.2 There will be separate merit list for in service 25% (in service) quota candidates and a

separate merit list for those who are not covered under the category of in service

candidates. The merit list for open and reserved candidates will be separate. The category

filled in application form will be final. If any candidate has not filled the category then

he/she will be considered in open category.

5.3 where two or more candidates have equal marks in the AIA-PGET-2018 the merit of

such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as under:

5.4 Candidates obtaining higher aggregate marks in B.A.M.S/G.A.M.S qualifying

examination.

5.5 If marks in degree are same then the Candidate older in age.

5.6 Counselling for the Post Graduate Courses will be held at Guru Ravidas Ayurvedic

University, Hoshiarpur.

5.7 Personal appearance for counseling/interview is compulsory for all candidates applying

for the Post Graduates admission. No. separate interview letters will be issued.

6. Admission Committee:-

There shall be following selection committee:-

Govt. Ayurvedic College, Patiala

(e) Principal of concerned Ayurvedic and Homeopathy College Member

(f) Representative of social welfare Department Member

(g) Representative of social security Department Member

7. Choice of Subject

(a) The allotment of specialty shall be made on the basis of the merit obtained by the

candidate in the AIA-PGET-2018. This choice of the candidate will be obtained at the

time of interview, which will be final and if the candidate does not join or leaves the

course in between he/she will be debarred for a period of five years for admission to P.G.

Course in the State of Punjab.

(b) Once admission is granted on the basis of choice of the candidate, no change of specialty,

category shall be allowed. However a candidate may select the specialty offered to

him/her.

(c) For each specialty a waiting list will be prepared and if any vacancy arises, will be filled

from waiting list subsequently.

(d) The last date for admission, filling up the vacancies and for joining the college and course

shall be fixed by Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur.

8. Fee and Stipend:-

8.1 For candidates admitted in Government College, Patiala

First Year 50000/-

Second Year 60000/-

Third Year 70000/-

Hostel Fee and Security:- As notified by Punjab Govt. from time to time

Stipends to the students admitted in Government Ayurvedic College, Patiala will

be as per the Decision of the Government from time to time.

8.2 For candidates admitted in Private Ayurvedic / Homeopathic College will be as

under:-

The Institute will charge fee of Rs. 1,25,000/- per annum. The fee will be payable on

annual basis.

Stipends to the candidates admitted in Private Colleges will be as decided by the

Government separately.

9. Reservation (Government / Private) Institutions:

The reservation for various categories in Post Graduate admission will be as under :-

(a) Schedule Caste 25%

(b) Backward Classes 10%

(c) Orthopedically handicapped 5%

NOTE: The reservation of physically challenged persons shall be as per the provision of Right of Persons with Disability Act-2016.

(a) The above reservation will be made in each specialty college separately subject to the

availability of seats as per instructions of the Govt.of Punjab from time to time.

(b) A hundred point roster duly approved by Government quota-wise (25:75%) shall be

maintained subject-wise/ institution-wise with the base year 2018.

(c) The number of seats in each specialty shall be indicated separately for 25% and 75%

quota seats, wherever applicable in the prospectus for post graduate entrance test, after

calculating the reservation of seats in each specialty/institution.

(d) Students claiming benefits of reservation under S.C/B.C category will be required to

produce a certificate from the competent authority as per instruction of the Department

of Welfare No. 1/41/96/RC 1/110001-17 dated Chandigarh 5.12.1996 (for SC) and

1/41/93-RC/459 dated 17/1/1994 (for BC)

(e) Candidate belonging to S.C/B.C will be eligible for admission as per their combined

merit in PGAET-2019

10. General Conditions

(a) Candidates who join the course will not be allowed to do private practice. In case of

violation the candidature shall be cancelled.

(b) Concealment of facts of false declaration by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of

admission.

(c) Candidates selected under 75% quota will get fixed emoluments as determined by the

State Government from time to time, for the course period.

(d) Candidate will have to submit a declaration to the affect that they have not abandoned the

post graduate seat after opting for admission or after getting admitted in post graduate

courses in the State of Punjab in the previous year.

(e) Any instruction issued earlier for previous academic year(S) shall not be applicable to

2018.

For any dispute arising out of the notification or admission under this notification the

jurisdiction shall be Punjab and Chandigarh only.

(f) This notification supersedes all the notifications for admission to Post Graduate Ayurveda / Homeopathy courses courses in the State, issued earlier.
