The foo fighter are an a American alternative rock band that were formed by David
Grohl, after the death of his previous band member. Foo fighters was their first album.
After this album was released he was given a record contract and recruited more members
so that the band could play live.
The front cover of this album is of a buck roger ray gun which is from a science fiction franchise. The name foo fighter come from the description that ww2 pilots would call UFO’s. The theme of UFO’s continues with the name of the record label being Roswell
record. This then links to the town of Roswell, USA that had an unusual UFO incident in 1947. This gives the album a
science fiction theme
