Nationals of Western Balkan countries**who are in particularly vulnerable situations.This includes, for example, individuals who

• have a refugee status or are asylumbeneficiaries (international or accordingto the national legislation of one of the

EU recipient countries); OR• have been the object of unjustified

expulsion from university based on racial,ethnic, religious, or political reasons,sexual inclination or gender; OR

• belong to an indigenous populationtargeted by a specific national policy orIDPs

 Aims of JoinEU-SEE • Facilitating the mutual enrichment of societies by supporting

the development of individuals’ qualifications in order to im-prove their employability on the labour market and help themdevelop openmindedness and international experience

• Promoting the academic mobility of excellent third-countrystudents, academics and researchers, in particular from vulne-rable groups, in order to offer them the opportunity to obtain

qualifications and experience in the EU

• Enhancing the international cooperation capacity of WesternBalkan universities by sharing good practice and knowledgein the organization of mobility programmes for the purpose of studying, joint teaching, training and research on the basis of the principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunities

Who can apply?Students and staff members of all partner universities, both fromEU and Western Balkan countries, as we ll as other nationals of anyEU country and the Western Balkan partner countries.

Types of scholarships and duration*The scholarship includes a monthly allowance (see below), tuitionfee (where applicable), travel costs and insurance (travel, health,accident).

Level of mobility Duration Allowance

Undergraduate 1 semester or 1 academic year 1,000 € per month

Master 1 semester to 24 months 1,000 € per month

Doctorate 6 months to 36 months 1,500 € per month

Po st- do ctorate 6 or 10 months 1,8 00 € p er month

Staff 1 month 2,500 € per month

the maximum duration according to your nationality 

Fields of Study All universities in the JoinEU-SEE consortium are comprehensiveuniversities that offer a wide range of studies which are open toparticipants of the exchange programme. At the same time, theacademic needs and expertise of universities are taken as the basisfor the mobility frame. Further details are provided on the website.
