The new courthouse of Ghent is situated in the Rabot district in the Opgeeïsten Avenue. This complex, also called Great Courthouse Ghent, was opened for the first time in 2007 to end the lack of space and fragmentation of the legal services. There are two ponds in the courtyard witch is located at the minus one level.

In the South- West you can still see the three towers that were built from 1972 un-till 1974. Together they contain 573 appartments.
