FM-200® (CF3CHFCF3 - heptafluoropropane)is a compound that consists of carbon, fluorineand hydrogen. It is colorless, odorless, electri-cally non-conductive, and suppresses fire byinterrupting the combustion process and remov-ing heat energy from the fire to the extent thatthe combustion process cannot sustain itself.

FM-200® is clean, efficient, environmentallyacceptable, and leaves no residue, thus mini-mizing any downtime after a fire. If exposedto temperatures greater than 1300˚F, toxic prod-ucts of decomposition (hydrogen fluoride) areformed. Most materials contained in areas pro-tected by FM-200®, such as aluminum, brass,rubber, plastics, steel, and electronic compo-nents, are unaffected when exposed to FM-200®.

FM-200® is stored as a liquid in steel contain-ers and super-pressurized with nitrogen to 360psig (2482 kPa) to increase its discharge flowcharacteristics. When discharged, FM-200®will vaporize at the discharge nozzles and ef-fectively mix with the air throughout the pro-tected area.

FM-200® is produced under ISO 9002 guide-lines to strict manufacturing specifications in-suring product purity. These safeguards giveyou total confidence that FM-200® will leaveno residue or oil deposits in your sensitive ap-plication area.
