MASTERCLASS ICT ARCHITECTURE

In het kort
De masterclass ICT Architecture bestaat uit
een set onderwijsmodulen uit de Master of
Informatics die met betrekking tot solution en
enterprise architectuur goed bij elkaar passen.
Deze modulen vormen de basis van het
architectuurprofiel van de Master of Informatics.
Voor wie?
De masterclass is ideaal voor wie zich wil
verdiepen in (ICT-)Architectuur, maar (nog)
geen volledige masteropleiding wil volgen.
Onderwijsprogramma
De masterclass bestaat uit drie modules:
• Solution Architecture
• Enterprise Engineering
• (Enterprise) Architecture in Practice
Solution Architecture
Deze module geeft een overzicht van het
domein van architectuur (met betrekking tot
ICT) en behandelt daarbij TOGAF (The Open
Group Architecture Framework). Verschillende
stijlen van software en informatie architectuur
worden besproken. Daarnaast worden Service
Oriented Architectures (SOAs), Domain Driven
Design, software patterns (in het bijzonder
Enterprise Application Patterns), Enterprise
Integration Patterns en Object Orientation
behandeld.
De module wordt gegeven door ing. Edwin van
Dillen MSc, werkzaam bij Sogyo als CTO.
Enterprise Engineering
De moderne onderneming is zich er meer en
meer bewust van dat ze een onderdeel is van
een value-netwerk. Ook haar interne
organisatie ontwikkelt zich meer en meer als
een netwerk. Samenwerking tussen afdelingen,
business units en tussen organisaties leidt tot
een extended enterpise die zich richt op
behoeften uit de markt. Outsourcing, shared
service centers, strategische samenwerkings-
verbanden, sterke vraagsturing, virtuele
netwerken, etc. zijn belangrijke gevolgen. In
deze module worden alternatieven van
configuratie van de onderneming in haar
omgeving besproken. Daarbij worden
klantvraag en bestaande situatie als kaders
genomen. Om zulke goede configuratie keuzes
te maken moet goed zichtbaar gemaakt worden
wat de consequenties er van zijn.
Uw docent is ir. Joop de Jong, bijzonder lector
Extended Enterprise Studies aan de
Hogeschool Utrecht. Daarnaast is hij algemeen
directeur van Dynaprise B.V.
(Enterprise) Architecture in Practice
Informatievoorziening in organisaties is
grotendeels mogelijk vanwege ICT. Deze
module bespreekt het enterprise architectuur
concept: hoe kan de ICT worden
geprojecteerd op de business functies. De
principes van de ICT architectuur bepalen het
ICT-ontwerp. Deze principes zijn gerelateerd
aan de structuur van ICT-systemen, en ze
beïnvloeden de manier waarop software
wordt ontworpen en waarmee software
interfaces moet hebben (interface
architectuur). Speciale aandacht is er in de
module voor veiligheid en autorisatie in de
digitale wereld.
Uw docent is dr. Bas van Gils, werkzaam bij
Bizzdesign als enterprise architect.
Na de masterclass
Nadat u de masterclass succesvol heeft
afgerond ontvangt u een certificaat.
Dit certificaat levert u, naast het bewijs van
afronding van de masterclass, bovendien
vrijstellingen op voor deze modulen in de
Master of Informatics, indien u besluit tóch de
gehele masteropleiding te gaan volgen.
Wanneer u er voor kiest om na de
masterclass toch de gehele masteropleiding
te gaan volgen worden uiteraard de
gemaakte kosten van de masterclass ICT
Architecture in mindering gebracht op het
totaalbedrag voor de Master of Informatics.

The master class ICT Architecture consists of a
set of course modules from the Master of
Informatics. With regard to solution and
enterprise architecture, these modules nicely fit
with each other. The modules form the basis of
the architecture profile of the Master of
Informatics.
For Whom?
The master class is ideal for those who wish to
find out more about (ICT-)Architecture, but who
do not want to follow the entire master
programme jet.
Programme
De master class consists out of the following
three modules:
• Solution Architecture
• Enterprise Engineering
• (Enterprise) Architecture in Practice
Solution Architecture
This module provides an overview of the field of
architecture (within the area of ICT) and ‘The
Open Group Architecture Framework’
(TOGAF). Different software and information
architecture styles are discussed. Moreover the
following topics are dealt with: Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA), Domain Driven Design,
software patterns (in particular Enterprise
Application Patterns), Enterprise Integration
Patterns, Object Orientation.
This module is taught by ing. Edwin van Dillen
MSc, employed by Sogyo as CTO.
Enterprise Engineering
The modern enterprise is more consciously
participating as an entity in a value-network.
Also its internal organization is evolving
towards a value network. Cooperation between
departments, business units and cooperation in
the value chain leads to the extended
enterprise which is particularly focused on the
market needs. Outsourcing, shared service
centres, strategic alliances, a strong demand
control, virtual enterprises, etc. are important
consequences. In this module alternative
configurations of a value web are discussed,
taking into account customer demand on one
hand and the existing situation on the other
hand. To enable well-founded decision-making
on those configuration-alternatives, important
consequences for partner-choices and
communication in the value web and for the
internal organization and ICT have to be made
visible.
This module is taught by ir. Joop de Jong,
special lector Extended Enterprise Studies at
University of Applied Science Utrecht. He is
also general director of Dynaprise B.V.
(Enterprise) Architecture in Practice
The provision of information in the
organization is supported largely by ICT. This
module discusses the concept of enterprise
architecture: how is the ICT architecture
mapped onto an organization’s business
functions. The principles of ICT architecture
determine the ICT design. These principles
are related to the structure of the ICT
systems, and they influence the way software
is developed and interfaced (interface
architecture). Special attention is paid to the
principles of security and authorization in the
digital world.
This module is taught by dr. Bas van Gils,
employed by Bizzdesign as enterprise
architect.
After the master class
After you have successfully completed the
master class you will receive a certificate.
This certificate gives you, besides proof of
completion of the master class, exemptions
for these specific modules in the Master of
Informatics, if you decide to follow the entire
master programme.
If you decide tot follow the entire master
programme the expenses made for following
the master class ICT Architecture will be
deducted from the total tuition fee of the
Master of Informatics.
