Productive and streamlined environment
PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA® minimizes the tool designers workload by implementing design & process knowledge directly into the CATIA® PLM context. The integration in CATIA® V5 PLM environment offers a number of benefits: • A familiar user environment, offering instant productivity, with minimal learning
curve.• The full integration combines the wide range of CATIA® functionalities with the
new PAM-DIEMAKER powerful functions expanding scope and flexibility in the approach.
• Full CAD/simulation interoperability using native translator for rapid formability assessment with PAM-STAMP 2G prevents losses in data quality.
Breakthrough solution dedicated to die designers who need to create within minutes, directly in a CAD environment, the first draft of a die addendum, PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA® V5 offers a set of powerful interactive tools and functions which provides guidance and support for part preparation, binder development and die addendum design.
High surface quality
The creation of the die addendum requires minimum number of profiles, this results in a very high quality of native CATIA® surface. All the surfaces created, for binder, addendum, and hole filling, are created within the standard tolerance limits of CATIA®, resulting in a smooth consistent joinable surface model suitable for NC machining or solid modelling of Die Construction.
1. Prepare part data
2. Tipping, binder design addendum profiles and die opening line
3. Finish: Automatic calculation of addendum faces and filletting
Key Benefits Fast design and optimization update thanks to an entire parameterisation and linking between part design and die design.
Consistent and high quality CAD & efficient data management all along the process from design to simulation and production.
Productivity increase due to CATIA® familiar user environment and methodology.
Streamlined simulation based die design through full interoperability between CATIA® and PAM-STAMP 2G.
4. Die Design assessment
5. Final tool

èmes ESI Group is a pioneer and world leading provider of digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes that
take into account the physics of materials. ESI Group has developed an entire suite of coherent, industry-oriented applications to realistically simulate a product's behavior during testing, to fine tune the manufacturing processes in synergy with the desired product
performance, and to evaluate the environment's impact on product usage. ESI Group's product portfolio, which has been industrially validated and combined in multi-trade value chains, represents a unique collaborative, virtual engineering solution, known as the Virtual Try-Out Space (VTOS), enabling a continuous improvement on the virtual prototype. By drastically reducing costs and development lead times, VTOS solutions offer major competitive advantages by progressively eliminating the need for physical prototypes.
