Next Generation IA Methodologies and Tools - Auditing without Auditors?Mr. Steven PARKER - Steven is the lead partner KPMG China's Dynamic Audit Transformation, Technology Enablement and Centralisation initiatives. He has over 20+ years' experience providing audit services to multinational companies, including 15 years in Hong Kong and Mainland China, which covers annual reporting under IFRS, Hong Kong and PRC GAAP on a number of global clients with operations in China. Steven is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.

Blockchain Revolution - Beyond Financial ServicesMr. Dave CHAPMAN - Dave is a financial markets professional with 13 years of experience in Investment Banking and technology roles, specialising in the analysis of low-latency pre-trade risk and order management systems. Throughout his Investment Banking career, Dave has been responsible for the design and implementation of a wide-ranging suite of trading platforms. He had managed large, global teams at HSBC, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO and Bear Stearns, among other financial firms. In June 2013, Chapman co-founded ANX INTERNATIONAL, a financial technology company specialising in blockchain technologies, digital assets and payment solutions, and has since served as the Chief Operating Officer. Supporting more than 3 million customers in 50+ countries and employing over 100 staff members, ANX INTERNATIONAL has scaled to become one of the largest technology companies in the world focused on blockchain initiatives. Widely recognised for his insightful knowledge and vision in the industry, Chapman was interviewed by Global Trading Magazine in 2014, where he discussed the roles of digital assets in institutional trading.

Technology Reinventing EverythingMr. Lars BRATSBERG - Lars has been 20 years in the media industry. He is Marketing Director of large TV network, Managing Director for creative agency, startup within digital broadcasting and consultancy business for brand and marketing strategy, and he joined Google since 2011 as the Industry Leader in Europe/Hong Kong. He also has the following titles: Marketeer of the Year, Board Member, Published Author and Executive Founding Member of Digital Marketing Association Hong Kong.

Mr. Naohiro MOURI - Naohiro is an Executive Corporate Officer, Chief Internal Auditor of AIG Japan Holdings covering all AIG business in Japan with 50 plus auditors. Until recently, he was a Statutory Executive Officer, Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor for MetLife Japan. Naohiro also held number of chief auditor positions including JP Morgan for Asia Pacific, Shinsei Bank, Morgan Stanley Japan, and Deutche Bank Japan. He has started his 24 years of auditing career at Arthur Andersen in Atlanta and Tokyo. He has also been active in the Institute of Internal Auditors (global) where he has been a member since 1995, and he is currently serving the institute as Vice Chairman - Professional Practice. He held other senior positions in the IIA including the Board member representing Japan, International Secretary and Vice Chairman - Professional Services. He has also been serving the IIA Japan as their director since 2003. Naohiro has also been helping Asian professional colleagues, and he served the ACIIA as the first President from 2001 to 2006. He has lectured number of universities in Japan including Meiji University Graduate program for professional accountancy and Senshu University. He has also been speaking at numerous occasions for the profession at the IIA and other industry forums. Naohiro co-authored a book for "This is the Internal Auditing for Financial Institutions" in Japanese and Mandarin. He is a Certified Public Accountant (US) and a Certified Internal Auditor and holds Bachelors degree for accounting from the Georgia State University.

Dealing with Cyber RisksMr. Marin IVEZIC - Marin is a partner within PwC's Risk Assurance practice with over 20 years of consulting and management experience in cybersecurity as well as IT and operational risk management. Marin has a proven track record of sales, delivery, staff development, thought leadership and P&L accountability, and has sold and managed successful delivery of large, cross-functional, and multinational advisory and system integration engagements in cyber security and IT risk management. cyber security strategy, technology architecture, process transformation, implementation of cyber security solutions, and breach investigation and response. Prior to joining PwC, Marin was the APAC practice leader for IBM's Cyber Security Strategy, Risk and Compliance practice, and Banking and Financial Markets practice, based in Singapore. He has also worked with various regional and international organisations as a cyber security and IT risk practice lead, an interim IT and a cyber security executive, and an investigator for financial crime.

Panel Discussion 1 – Practical Responses by Leading Companies on Cybersecurity Risks

Mr. Frank TONG - Frank is the CEO of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), the largest ICT R&D facility in Hong Kong funded by the SAR Government through its Innovation and Technology Commission. He leads the institute with five core technology areas identified as its strategic pillars – Financial Technologies, Intelligent Manufacturing, Next Generation Network, Health Technologies and Smart City. Under his leadership, ASTRI has successfully commercialised many technologies, and collaborated with several local, regional and international academic and commercial organisations. In addition to initiating a number of Joint Labs and R&D Centres, Mr Tong has also spearheaded talent development and capacity building endeavours for students and professionals alike from Hong Kong, Mainland and elsewhere. One of ASTRI’s key priorities pursued under Dr Tong’s leadership is to help Hong Kong transform into a premier, global FinTech hub. Collaborations with public sector organisations in Hong Kong and overseas like Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Bank of Thailand, and Electronic Transactions Development Agency of Thailand, and partnerships with leading banks like Bank of China (Hong Kong) and HSBC have thrived during his tenure. Mr Tong is a Hong Kong-native Chinese national who received his undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education from leading universities in the US. After a rich and successful career stint in the US where he was credited with an MIT Lincoln Lab thesis, over 200 research articles, and 19 patents, he returned to Hong Kong to take over senior research and academic roles in IBM Research and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Between 2001 to 2004, he was seconded from CUHK to ASTRI as Vice President of the Photonics Group where he successfully led the group’s spin-off and joined SAE Magnetics - a wholly owned subsidiary of TDK. The spin-off was one of the most successful commercialisation endeavours in the history of ASTRI. From 2013 to 2014, he was the CEO of Hisense Broadband Multimedia Technologies, leading many successful mergers and acquisition of technology companies.

Mr. Henry NG - Henry is currently the head of Consulting Services within the Thales Critical Information Systems and Cybersecurity business line. He manages a regional team to help APAC customers protect against cyber security threats and manage IT security risks. Projects include conducting security review of NFC mobile payment solutions, developing security policies and supporting governance framework, performing IT risk assessment and audits, data privacy and mobile/web security reviews. Customers come from different industry sectors including banking and finance, insurance, telecommunications, transportation and utilities, manufacturing and higher education institutes. He has been appointed as the adjunct professor for University Malaysia of Computer Science and Engineering, and serves in a number of cybersecurity professional bodies including the director of CSA Hong Kong and Macau Chapter and member of the Hong Kong Expert Group on Cloud Security and Privacy. Henry has been invited frequently as speakers and panelists in many IT security and risk seminars in the region. He also teaches IT security courses and helps promote security awareness to the local community by speaking in schools and the public. Prior to joining Thales, Henry held senior positions at Verizon Business and HP consulting security practice team. Henry is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a certified Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP). He holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

Mr. Jeremy PIZZALA - Jeremy is currently EY’s Global Leader for Cybersecurity in the Financial Services sector, with 26 years’ experience in Consulting, Outsourcing and Business Transformation. Jeremy has helped clients across the banking, capital markets and insurance sectors implement large scale technology led systems to manage their Cyber risk. He has also developed novel solutions leveraging quantitative modelling techniques to help clients get a firmer grip on their potential cyber economic losses and the associated responses. Jeremy also has in-house banking experience gained from working in a leading regional bank for 5 plus years. He has diverse international experience, having lived and worked in locations including Hong Kong, London & Sydney.

Mr. Paul JACKSON - Paul has been working in Asia since 1988 when he joined the Hong Kong Police Force. With a background in electronics and telecommunications, he pioneered the advances in technology-related policing in Hong Kong and helped establish the Technology Crime Division within the HK Police. During this time, he also worked with Interpol in conducting forensics and cybercrime capacity building for over 50 Police Forces in Asia and Europe. In 2010, Paul moved to JPMorgan and whilst with the Firm led APAC Investigations and subsequently headed up Global High Tech Investigations based out of New York. In this capacity, Paul was also instrumental in developing an Insider Threat program for the bank. In 2015, Paul took on the role as APAC MD for Stroz Friedberg – a global leader in investigations, intelligence and risk management.

Panelists Mr. David CURRIE - David is the Chief Information Security Officer for the HKEX Group. David joined in 2013 with a mandate to drive the transformation of HKEXs Cyber security defenses, ensuring they can meet the future demands of a leading global exchange. David started his career in Melbourne with ANZ Bank; before moving to Barclays Bank and then on to VISA in London before joining HKEX. David has 15+ years’ experience as a security professional and holds an MSc – Information Security.

Mr. Eric FAN - Eric is the Head of Technical Department of UDomain Web Hosting Company Limited, has 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Leading the company to become one of the market leaders in the industry made him Juniper Network’s Top System Engineer years ago. He also strives to promote wireless security and protect SMEs in Hong Kong from cyber-attack and awarded the Cyber Security Professionals Awards – Communications (Silver) by HK Police Force, GovCert.hk and HKCERT in 2017 and the honoree of (ISC)2 Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements - Information Security Practitioner in 2015.

Mr. K.F. WONG - Wong is Associate Dean (External Affairs) of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, Director of the Centre for Innovation and Technology, and Associate Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interest focuses on Chinese computing, database and information retrieval. He has published over 250 technical papers in these areas in different international journals, conferences and books. K.F. is very active in professional activities in Hong Kong. He is the Founding Chairman of the Bridging Digital Divide in China (HK) Charity Foundation. Also, he serves as the Chairman, ICT Advisory Committee, HK Scout Associa-tion; Member, Consumer Council; Member, Airport Technology Advisory Council of the Hong Kong Interna-tional Airport; Member, Radio Television Hong Kong Board of Advisors; and Member of The Hong Kong Society for the Aged (SAGE) Advisory Committee on ICT Development. He was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) by the HKSAR Government in 2011 for his contribution in IT development in Hong Kong.

Ms. Maya NAKHDJAVANI - Maya is the Head of Continuous Improvement and Complaints Management in Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) for HSBC Group, based in Hong Kong. She oversees policy, governance, strategy and customer improvement initiatives, building loyalty and recommendation. Maya has over 15 years of banking experience with HSBC, covering a range of products and business areas. Over the span of her career, Maya has also held roles in scientific research, marketing and business development. Maya has a BSc. in Biological Sciences from Clemson University in South Carolina, and an MBA from Duke University in North Carolina, USA.

Mr. Guy PARSONAGE - Guy is a marketing industry veteran for over 17 years with a broad range of agency experience across Europe, Australia and Asia. Guy brings endless passion and enthusiasm to everything he does. He believes in constantly striving to get the most out of himself, his team and every client opportunity. He knows that amazing things are possible by providing the right direction and focus to amazing people. Mr. Andrew RYDER - Andrew has been working in the digital industry for the last 12 years in Hong Kong, China, Uganda and Canada. He bring a unique depth and diversity of experience from digital agencies, an e-commerce start-up, a sport-focused NGO and a technology multinational. He leads strategy development, helping bring consumer insights to life, through all channels. Previously he led the Strategy and Social team at Isobar Hong Kong, over a period in which Isobar was named Digital Agency of the Year by both Campaign Asia-Pacific (2015) and Marketing Magazine (2015 and 2014). Andrew led all client strategy for brands such as Estee Lauder, Audi, Marriott Hotels, Uniqlo, Darlie, Huawei, Van Cleef & Arpels and Samsonite. At Edelman, Andrew is tasked with leading strategy development in North Asia, helping bring consumer insights to life through all channels. Andrew completed his MBA in his native Canada from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, specializing in Leadership, Marketing and International Business. In his personal time, he loves playing sports including golf, soccer, squash, hockey, skiing and cycling.
