Characteristics and Applications: ArcStar 81N1M is a gas-shielded flux cored wire for all-position welding. It is designed for welding 590

N/mm2 high tensile steel for low temperatures. It provides good weldability with smooth bead appearance, less spatter and stable arc as well as good

impact properties down to -40

. It is also suitable for welding on construction machinery, shipbuilding, offshore, structures, bridges,

storage tanks and piping.

Notes on Usage: 1. When the heat input is excessive, the impact value tends to be reduced. Therefore, perform welding with

selecting proper heat input depending on the required impact value. 2. Preheating at 50~150

is required depending on steels, plate thickness and restraint.

3. Use DC(+) polarity.

4. Use 75~80%Ar+25~20%CO2 as shielding gas.

Characteristics and Applications: ArcStar-101K3 offers excellent arc stability and low spatter with CO2 shielding gas. It also has a fast freezing slag for all-position welding. These features, along with relatively low diffusible hydrogen levels, excellent slag removal, good impact values and high strength levels, make ArcStar-101K3 a superior choice for welding higher-strength steels.

Notes on usage: (1) Use (DC+) polarity. (2) Use 100%CO2, 20~25 l/min shielding gas. (3) Welding heat input must be controlled in order to get required impact value, since notch tough

ness tends to decrease due to excessive heat input. (4) Keep dry during handling and storage.

Characteristics and Applications: TF-81 is a neutral agglomerated flux for SAW. During welding, it won’t result any significant changes composition of weld bead and thus the arc length by changing arc voltage,. This makes TF-81 very suitable to use with wire for hardfacing applications such as TWH- 12-S, 17-S, 31-S, and TWS-410NiMo-S, 420-S, etc.

Notes on usage: 1.Dry flux at 300~350

2.Add reasonable amount of new flux when recycled flux is used.

Characteristics and Applications:

TFW-308H is special for 100% CO2 gas and all-position welding. The weld bead has very excellent slag release. An 19Cr-9Ni austenitic stainless steel deposited that can be used for joining 18Cr-8Ni austenitic steels such as AISI304. AISI301. 302. SUS304H. It provides good resistance to inter-granular corrosion and has higher tensile strength than TFW-308L. It can also be used as an intermediate layer for hardfacing.

Notes on usage: 1. Before welding, the base material should be cleaned from oil, rusty, moisture and the welding place should

have the proper protection from the wind. 2. Use 100% purity or higher CO2 shielding gas. Maintain the flow rate not less than 20L/min when wire

diameter is 1.2 or 1.6 mm. 3. Trailer Shield is required to ensure the weld pool completely shielded until solidification is complete and no

porosity problem. 4. Keep dry while in storage and delivery.

Characteristics and Applications: TFW-309LMoP is a modified type of TFW-309L with the addition of molybdenum. It is suitable for joining

stainless steels to unalloyed steels. The addition of molybdenum enhances creep strength and improves corrosion resistance.

Notes on Usage: 1. Before welding, the base material should be cleaned from oil, rusty moisture and the welding place should

have the proper protection from the wind. 2. Use 99.8% or higher purity CO2 as shielding gas. Maintain the flow rate no under than 20L/min when wire

diameter is 1.2 or 1.6mm. 3. Trailer Shield is required to ensure the weld pool completely shielded until solidification is complete and no

porosity problem.

Characteristics and Applications:

TFW-2209 is a flux-cored wire that is applicable for the welding of duplex stainless steel such as UNS S31803 (Alloy 2205). Excellent pitting corrosion resistance, stress corrosion resistance and crack resistance can be obtained. It is suitable for the weldings of heat exchanger, chemical equipments and pipes.

Notes on usage: 1. 100% CO2 shielding gas with 99.8% purity is recommended and the flow rate should be kept over 20L/min

for the wire diameter is 1.2 and 1.6mm. 2. Clean the surface of base metal completely to prevent the contamination. 3. Trailer Shield is required to ensure the weld pool completely shielded until solidification is complete and

no porosity problem. 4. The welding place should have the proper protection from wind to prevent generating the welding defects

due to improper gas shielding.

1105

Characteristics and Applications:

TM-70C is a high deposition rate flux cored wire suitable for high speed fillet welding application in flat and horizontal position. The wire has excellent porosity resistibility for use in welding over zinc-primer surface and mill scale in high speed fillet welding. The wire generates low spatter and produces thinner slag with good slag detachability. In addition it produces deep effective throat on fillet weld and it has good arc stability and welder appeal.

TM-70C is widely used in shipbuilding, bridge construction and structural fabrication.

Notes on usage: 1. Proper pre-heating 50~150

(120~300) and inter-pass temperature must be used in order to release

hydrogen which may cause cracking in weld metal when welding on medium and heavy plates. 2. Use DC(+) polarity and 100% CO2 shielding gas. 3. Maintain the temperature of inter-pass under 150 when in multiple-pass welding. 4. Keep dry while in storage and delivery.
