Reading Materials
Orton- Gillingham, Pa, Ph, Fl, Voc, Comp Orton-Gillingham methodology utilizes phonetics and emphasizes visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. Instruction begins by focusing on the structure of language and gradually moves towards reading. The program provides students with immediate feedback and a predictable sequence that integrates reading, writing and spelling.
For over a decade this research-validated approach has been successfully implemented by teachers to empower children at all three tiers of instruction to dramatically reduce reading failure.

Assessment & Demographics
• AIMs Web - Colorado standards-based progress monitoring tool• Client Base - K-12 Students needing extra support - Students with dyslexic symptoms and other learning disabilities - Students on Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or in TIER II and TIER III interventions
• Demographics - We must position ourselves ‘now’ as a community to meet the growing need of
support based on the growing population. - FLOW serves the entire Colorado Springs community, but with financial support,
FLOW’s deeply discounted tutoring service will provide the low income segment the opportunity to meet state standards and pursue higher-level education
- Though not targeting minority students, studies have shown that “Minority students in general are less likely to achieve the skills needed to succeed in higher education without outside support.”
FLOW meets the current support mechanism for academic success while its
business plan addresses the “future need” in our community and state.
