Hell, most Americans are
trying to pay utilities yet
alone figure out how we
get paid in the global
marketplace. Let’s focus on
America and American
youth! How can we be-
come more healthy, domi-
nate in business, and
manufacture anything
here? Those are the ques-
tions Americans want an-
swers to. Having said all
that, there has never been
more opportunity in real
estate; you can actually
get in this game cheap
and most of the real hitters
are slowly becoming old.
It’s our time and I’ve been
waiting on this for forty
(40) years and this time
things will be different.

Slow down the 2012 talk.
We still have a lot of time
before the holidays and
New Year. In fact, we
think we have time to
break ground on a Dog
Park, not any old Dog
Park, but the daddy of
Parks. Yes we love pup-
pies too! On a lighter
note, activity has really
picked up quite a bit. We
had a very busy summer,
with our property ser-
vices. In fact, August was
our best month since
2005! Yes, I’m excited
and somewhat concerned
at the same time. The
Global Marketplace on
paper seems great with
new revenue streams and
access to talented youth.
Then you do your dili-
gence, and things become
more cloudy; in fact, it
looks like the bubble be-
fore the housing melt-
down. I know and under-
stand several corpora-
tions and wealthy busi-
nessmen are getting ma-
jor dollars globally, but
that does not make it
good. The real downfall
of the global economy is
that most Americans can
only be global on the
internet or wireless phone.

Where are the Green Jobs?
The 400 billion dollar
question is “Where are the
Green Jobs”? That is a
question that has so many
different answers, but the
true fact is not too many
Americans have them. We
found three issues that hin-
der the growth of hiring.
First - the Green movement
has become way too
political, Second -
“Green Jobs” are still
being defined - are they
old jobs performed dif-
ferently? and Third - Un-
ions have way too much
power. Unemployed
workers have zero incen-
tive to join the Union if it
does not translate into a
job. The focus must be on
Job training programs
and apprenticeship op-
portunities with micro
businesses. It’s time to
stop playing with the fu-
ture of American youth. If
you have the capacity to
hire, please do so.

SIPS— THE 21ST CENTURY BUILDING MATERIAL!
What are SIPS? Structural Insulated panels (SIPS) are a high performance building system for resi-
dential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched
between two structural facings - typically oriented strand board (OSB). SIPS are manufactured un-
der factory controlled conditions and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is
a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. Building with SIPS will
save you time, money and labor.
Building with SIPS generally costs about the same as building with wood frame construction when
you factor in the labor savings resulting from shorter construction time and less jobsite waste. Other
savings are realized because smaller heating and cooling systems are required with SIPS construc-
tion.
CLIMATE CHANGE PLANNING
Confronting challenges brought about by climate change can only be tackled with federal, regional,
and state entities working together to implement mitigation and adaptation policies. They must have
a vision and nerve to develop and implement new plans to guide local actions. These plans must in-
clude policy options that quantify potential greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions and provide
specific policy language and cost-effectiveness measures.
Urban life is a key contributor to greenhouse gas emissions through the physical arrangement of
streets, building types and land use that influence both vehicle use and energy consumption in build-
ings. This approach requires decision support tools that illustrate the GHG implications of land use
and transportation choices. Digital visualization tools can be integrated in a public process to present
participants with clear choices and help make informed planning decisions.
Plans, forecasts, scenarios and projects are four simple ways of representing, manipulating and as-
sessing ideas about America’s future. How do we make urban living environments more healthy,
safe and habitable, not to mention more ecological and equitable? Four-fifths of Americans now live
in the nations sprawling metropolitan areas, and half of the world’s population is now classified as
“urban”. Leadership will need to take an aggressive role in overcoming obstacles by taking positive
steps to integrate climate change policies into local zoning and development master planning. The
time is now and the rewards include job creation and new methods to create environmental change.
