s. 1009.94, F.S. Student financial assistance database
(1) The Department of Education shall design and maintain a student financial assistance database that can be used to support all aspects of the administration and delivery of state-funded student financial aid. In addition, the database must have the capability of providing policymakers with comprehensive information regarding the various financial assistance programs available to students attending Florida postsecondary education institutions.(2) For purposes of this section, financial assistance includes:(a) For all students, any scholarship, grant, loan, fee waiver, tuition assistance payment, or other form of compensation provided from state or federal funds.(b) For students attending public institutions, any scholarship, grant, loan, fee waiver, tuition assistance payment, or other form of compensation supported by institutional funds.(c) Any financial assistance provided under s. 1009.50, s. 1009.505, s. 1009.51, s. 1009.52, s. 1009.53, s. 1009.55, s. 1009.60, s. 1009.62, s. 1009.70, s. 1009.701, s. 1009.72, s. 1009.73, s. 1009.74, s. 1009.77, s. 1009.89, or s. 1009.891.(3) The database must include records on any student receiving any form of financial assistance as described in subsection (2). Each institution participating in any state financial assistance program shall annually report such information to the Department of Education, by the date and in a format prescribed by the department and consistent with the provisions of s. 1002.225, the eligible students to whom financial assistance is disbursed each academic term, the eligibility requirements for recipients, and the aggregate demographics of recipients.

Institutions that received state funds in Fiscal Year 2015-2016 for student scholarships or grants administered by the Office of Student Financial Assistance shall report federal loan information to the Department of Education (DOE) prior to September 1, 2016, in a format prescribed by DOE. Process for 2015-16 Data
• During the next couple of months OSFA will be making adjustments to the instructions and examples
• Prior to 2015-16 collection period, OSFA will ask institutions, who would like to participate, to provide feedback about the updated layout and instructions
• Memo requesting 2015-16 data will be sent out by end of August
• Tentative Deadline: January 31, 2017

State Reporting RequirementsPrivate Colleges and Universities
Institutions receiving funds from Specific Appropriations 65, 66, and 69 must submit an annual report to the Department of Education detailing the following metrics for Florida resident students: entrance requirements for the year; percentage of students receiving Pell Grants, Bright Futures, and other academic aid; graduation rates; job placementrates, and job placement rates in-field up to 120 days past graduation. The report shall also include information for each institution on the total federal loan amounts disbursed and the total number of students who received federal loans.- Chapter 2016-66, Laws of Florida, Lines 65 (ABLE), 66, and 69 (FRAG)
Reporting Process:
OSFA provides data to CIE for the ABLE institutions. CIE compiles the report.
OSFA provides data to ICUF for the FRAG institutions. ICUF compiles the report.
