1. ESMA System module has lost connection to EXxx TRX module2. EXxx TRX module Tx power overdriven at DPC3. EXxx TRX module Tx power is less than minimum at DPC4. RSSI detected Rx signal difference exceeding threshold5. ERxx DDU module has detected no Tx power at TxA input. 6. ERxx DDU module has detected VSWR above major limit at
antenna A. 7. EXxx TRX module failed to synchronize to incoming frame clock
FCLK. 8. EXxx TRX module has missing transmission time slot allocation. 9. Hardware incompatibility detected during EXxx TRX module
configuring. 10. Path A/B of Rx LNA amplifier chain is broken in DDU (ERxx)
module. 11. EXxx TRX module has no combiner ERxx DDU or ECxx RTC
module present12. RF cable not connected
1- ESMA/SYSTEM MODULE HAS LOST CONNECTION TO EXXX TRX MODULE
Description: - EXxx TRX module does not respond to polling command from
ESMA System module. EXxx TRX module can be connected to ESMA either directly.
Reason: Hardware:
- The BUS cable connect between ESMA to EXxA loose connection or broken.
- The PW cable connect between ESMA to EXxA loose connection or broken.
- Card ERxA or EXxA broken or port faulty.- Card ESMA was damage or broken.
Solution: Hardware:
- Check BUS/PW cable if loose connected.- Toggle PDU port from BTS Manager. - Check the bus cable chain from ESMA to EXxx. - Replace BUS/PW cable if broken.- Replace ESMA broken.- Replace card EXxA.
2- EXXX TRX MODULE TX POWER OVERDRIVEN AT DPC
Description:Tx output power is over 2 dB higher than expected at Digital
Power Control circuit block in EXxx TRX module.
Reason: Hardware:- Card EXxA loose PW cable connection.- Card EXxA broken.- The TX output power from card ESMA was damage.
Solution: Hardware:- Check PW cable connected from EXxA to ESMA.- Replace card EXxA if broken. Software:- Connect Laptop to ESMA start Flexi EDGE Nokia ManagerAnd then reset card.
3- EXXX TRX MODULE TX POWER IS LESS THAN MINIMUM AT DPC
Description:Tx output power is less than +14.5dBm at Digital Power Control circuit block in EXxx TRX module.
Reason: Hardware:- Card EXxA loose PW cable connection.- Card EXxA broken.- The TX output power from card ESMA was damage.
Solution: Hardware:- Check PW cable connected from EXxA to ESMA.- Replace card EXxA if broken. Software:- Connect Laptop to ESMA start Flexi EDGE Nokia ManagerAnd then reset card.
4- RSSI DETECTED RX SIGNAL DIFFERENCE EXCEEDING THRESHOLD
Description:The difference limit of Received Signal Strength Indicator measurement has
exceeded between the main and diversity antennas.
Reason: Hardware:
- Wrong RF cable configuration.- Bus cable receive RSSI from EXxA lose data.- RF cable broken or loose connection.- RF cable connection between the TRX, feeder, and antenna broken.- Card ERxA, EXxA, WCxx (Combiner), ESMA was damaged.
Software:- Wrong commissioning at BSC- Set wrong VSWR Value (Correct value 1.5 and 2.7)
Solution: Hardware:
- Reset cell- Check Configuration at site.- Check RF cable connection between the ERxA to EXxA if loose connection.- Check combiner and replace new if it faulty- Replace RF cable, feeder, Jumper and antenna if broken.- Replace card EXxA, WCxA, ERxA, ESMA, BUS cable.
Software:- Check commissioning at Flexi EDGE Nokia Manager- Re-commissioning and test RSSI.
5- ERXX DDU MODULE HAS DETECTED NO TX POWER AT TXA/B INPUT.
Description: There is no Tx power detected at TxA input of ERxx DDU
module. When you have remove TX_A alarm power input will appear.
Reason: Hardware:- Tx_A loose connection from ERxA to EXxA when we
moved Tx_A.- RF cable, combiner (EWxA) broken- Card ERxA, EXxA was damage or faulty.
Solution: Hardware:- Check Tx_A is connect between ERxA to EXxA.- Replace RF cable, combiner, ERxA, EXxA if failure. Software:- Use Tang.exe for reset cell use common ZEQS. If reset cell
one or two time not clear connect to Flexi EDGE for reset site.
6- ERXX DDU MODULE HAS DETECTED VSWR ABOVE MAJOR LIMIT AT ANTENNA A/B.
Description: Reason:
Hardware:- RF cable connection between the TRX, feeder, and antenna
broken.- Card ERxA was damaged or broken.- Connector between Jumper to Feeder loose connection or
broken.- Jumper broken or auto disconnected when card ERxA too hot.- Water inside feeder during we installed or Feeder moved.
Solution: Hardware:
- Check Jumper, Feeder, Antenna- Check Card ERxA and replace card if broken.- Replace Jumper, Feeder or Antenna if faulty- Change connector Jumper, Feeder.
Software:- Check the value of VSWR Limited parameter in Flexi EDGE Nokia
Manager (Antenna setting Minor 1.5 and Major 2.7)
7- EXXX TRX MODULE FAILED TO SYNCHRONIZE TO INCOMING FRAME CLOCK FCLK.
Description:EXxx TRX module has detected that it cannot
synchronise to the Frame Clock. FCLK is generated by ESMA System Module which is distributed to EXxx TRX modules either directly
Reason: Hardware:
- Bus cable cannot synchronize to from ESMA to EXxA.- EXxA, ESMA, BUS cable broken.
Solution: Hardware:
- Check the bus cable chain from ESMA to EXxx. Issue a HW Reset to EXxx.
- Replace EXxx. - Replace ESMA.
Software:- Issue a HW Reset to ESMA from Remote BTS Manager.
8- EXXX TRX MODULE HAS MISSING TRANSMISSION TIME SLOT ALLOCATION.
Description: Reason:
Hardware:- Plug BUS cable between EXxA to ESMA incorrect port.- Card ESMA was damaged or broken.
Software:- Wrong commissioning from Flexi EDGE Nokia Manager.
Solution: Hardware:
- Check plug in BUS cable between EXxA to ESMA is correct port.
- Change card ESMA if port was broken. Software:- Check configure in BSC and re-commissioning
with Flexi EDGE Nokia Manager.
9- HARDWARE INCOMPATIBILITY DETECTED DURING EXXX TRX MODULE CONFIGURING.
Description: Frequency band/channel or BTS configuration mismatch between the BTS units and BSC configuration.
Reason: Hardware: - Declare wrong frequency number defined at the BSC match
with the used ERxx at the BTS site. - Site use wrong model GSM type. (ERxA: GSM 900M, 1800M)
Solution: Hardware:- Check card ERxA, if broken replace new. Software:- Check that frequency number defined at the BSC match
with the used ERxx at the BTS site. - Modify TRX object parameters (MML command ZERM:...)
against the actual configuration at the site.
10- PATH A OF RX LNA AMPLIFIER CHAIN IS BROKEN IN DDU (ERXX) MODULE.
Description:Both low noise amplifiers in a balanced stage
have failed for Path B of ERxx DDU module. If diversity is used, Path A is still working.
Reason: Hardware:- Card ERxA broken because Diversity receiver with
noise amplifier was disable.
Solution: Hardware:- Change card ERxA (Need to change card ERxA)
11- EXXX TRX MODULE HAS NO COMBINER ERXX DDU OR ECXX RTC MODULE PRENSENT
Description:There is no ERxx DDU module or Combiner module detected for the sector at start up.
Reason: Hardware:- RF cable loose connection or faulty.- Card Combiner broken or no power input.- Card ERxA broken at TX_A.- In Sector no combiner in slot when you upgrade.
Solution: Hardware: - Check RF cabling to ERxA and Combiner.- Replace combiner to sector that no combiner.- Reconnect RF cable to module.- Replace RF cable.- Connect/check ER_A cable between ERxx and EXxx for
the associated sector and issue a sector reset.
13- RF CABLE NOT CONNECTED.
Description:RF cable auto detection fails due to inconclusive Rx levels received. Therefore, the BTS cannot determine RF cabling.
Reason: Hardware:
- RF cable loose connection during upgrade or downgrade configure.- Wrong configuration at site and in BSC when O&M not commissioning.- Card ERxA, EXxA, WCxA (Combiner) broken or damaged.
Solution: Hardware:- Run RFCAD to the failing sector(s) by performing a sector lock/unlock or a
sector reset from the BTS Manager. - Check that the RF cabling between card ERxA to EXxA are correctly mated. - Check the condition of cables and connectors.- Replace WCxA, ERxA, EXxA.- Replace RF cable.
Note: This alarm not appear in system on Optimize can display it. Before you contact to technical team, you have to test TRX with Flexi EDGE Nokia Manager.
