Kicks shoot, Cordelia showcases her love for sneakers in a way that has never been done before.

Everytime I wear my sneakers, I end up looking much younger, in fact, I look so young that I don’t look femi nine at all. I am sure that is what most girls feel and thus the sneaker love has gone to all the boys. Hopefully, with this exhibition, and some proper styling, girls can kick ass with their sneakers too!

shoot. ‘I have never worn a snapback in my life : I think I will look very weird.’ She said, when given a Limpeh

Snapback for the shoot. Like most girls, sneakers are usually for exercising, and not the first choice to looking

feminine. This shoot is to showcase how these both elements can co-exist, and beautifully too.

I never imagined how I would look with a snapback and street clothes. After the shoot, I think my wardrobe options just expanded considerably. I am really happy to be part of this shoot, and I hope it will inspire more #chicksinkicks!

ERIC CHER PHOTOGRAPHEREric Cher has been making waves with his works ever since his NS days. With his background stemming from

the SAF film unit, to his film, sound and video major at Ngee Ann polytechnic, Eric has done a wide array of

works for Samsung, Epicentre and recently a high profile collaboration with local rap collective, The Grizzle

Grind Crew. For the ‘Chicks in Kicks’ project in collaboration with Flesh Imp and Sole Superior, Eric has

infused his highly commercial elements into this niche but widely popular street culture phenomenon with hot

girls in their favourite sneakers, creating a sensual twist to the pre-dominantly male favored sneaker addic-

tion.

“I have done many fashion shoots where I see beautiful girls,

edgy clothes and limited edition sneakers. But this is the first

time I have done one that combines all three. Definitely

something I would like to do again.”

NICHOLAS CHO FLESH IMPWhile the Chicks in Kicks concept is not new, it is definitely not huge in Singapore. I have always wanted to

do a shoot with hot girls with sneakers, but in a tasteful way. Think sensual, yet edgy. Think sexy yet cool. A

lot of other labels or photographers have managed to capture the sexy part or the sneaker part really well, and

I do hope that for our collaboration with Sole Superior, this shoot can combine both, and pushing the local

scene to have more girls sharing their sneaker love and still look kickass. The reason why I invited Cordelia,

Amanda and Melody is because they have different styles and personalities.

Their personal dressing is also quite diverse, spanning from street to glam and chic.

However, I feel that they have a certain versatility and can be very dynamic in terms of pulling the Chicks in

Kicks concept. Bringing the girls away from their comfort zone and putting them in a totally new way of styling

usually brings us interesting and exciting results.
