from global analysis over inspiration note to policy agreement
and finally a new management and policy agreement
from global analysis → inspiration note
By working together with internal services and external partners (egmemoranda from the advisory boards) on the global analysis, the connection between goals and the impact of the various actors on these goals quickly becomes clear.
This way, a concensus is created for the pursuit of the common vision of the organization and its future priorities
Where the global analysis provides an objective picture of the state of the city, the administration goes a step further in the inspiration note.
The Inspiration note “Sint-Truiden 2030” consists of policy recommendations from the administration to the future mandatories of the city.

policy agreement
The inspiration note has been handed over to the 3 elected political parties and they used this input during their negotiations on a new policy agreement.
This policy agreement, in turn, formed the basis for shaping the new BBC 20 -25 (multi-annual plan or policy and management cycle) where each department will draw up separate action and budget plans to fulfil these goals.
a new management and policy agreement + budget for the next 5 years will be approved within the next couple of weeks
• We continue to focus on awareness campaigns
• Communication continues to play a very important role, spread the SDG word
• A column of SDGs was included in the BBC design, a connection is made with the SDGs per sub-action. Now we can work together more easily and better across service boundaries
Plans for the future
• Reissue of ‘50 practival awareness raisingexamples”
• Video “mayors for the SDGs”
• International SDG conference september 24th 2020 (Mechelen)
• Integrate SDGs in existing VVSG networks
• Basic SDG training
• Advanced workshops
Thank you!
