What is deep space and flat?
Space is the area in and around the objects of a photograph. The subject of the photograph is considered the positive space and the area in and around the outside of the subject is considered negative space. Deep space provides a sense of depth and distance in a photograph. Flat space provides a closer up image.
What does space photography look like?
This photo was taken by macro photography as a wallpaper. Its a perfect example of flat space. As you can see its very up close.

Flat space painting Here is a perfect example of flat space in a painting. As you can see there is no depth in the painting. Its very flat with lots of colors.
