IRIS FLAS Director Screens “Overseas Program Requests” (OPRs)• Beginning level FLAS may be used for an

overseas program if appropriate equivalent instruction is not available in U.S.

• Undergraduate students (UGs) MUST be at the Intermediate or Advanced Level of a LCTL to be eligible for FLAS

• In OPR “Explanation” please indicate whether FLAS fellow is an undergraduate student.

IRIS FLAS Director Screens “OPRs” continued • NEW Enhancement to OPR:  Grantees

can enter an additional program for the same student - see “Add an additional program” button. This allows you to submit more than one program in order to meet the contact hour/duration requirements.

IRIS FLAS Director Screens “Fellow Administration Interim Report”• Students do not have to complete their

self-evaluation reports before the FLAS coordinator submits the Interim FLAS Institutional List.  However, you will not be able to move a student to the FINAL report until he/she has completed the self-evaluation.

are required to certify that travel itinerary complies with the Fly America Act.
