FLAMENCO SI Lecture Demonstration will take you on a journey through Flamenco’s intricacies and cultural history with explanations of how Flamenco music, song

and dance all relate to each other. Through varied demonstrations of instruments and techniques involved in

the Flamenco art form students will learn fundamental flamenco dance techniques such as; “Zapateado”

- Footwork, “Filigranas y braceo” Hand and upper body movement. “Palmas” hand clapping,

“Castañuelas” Castanets.

Audience participation is a vital aspect of the show and Spanish language is present in our demonstrations making

for a very engaging and entertaining learning experience. Accessories are provided for the audience to learn and interact with (castanets, shawls, fans etc...).

Flamenco dance is an equally fun activity for Boys & Girls (Boys love the percussive element in the dance).

Singer, dancer, and guitarist present our program in colourful, traditional costumes.

FLAMENCO SI Lecture Demonstration culminates with a vibrant performance where the artists incorporate all of the

aspects taught and shown during the Lecture demonstration. Performance ends with a Q & A.

All of the artists in the company are bilingual and are experienced dancers and dance teachers

that have been trained to work with children of all ages and levels as well as with special needs students

(All teachers/performers have children’s check certificate)

Our program has been developed for NSW Primary and High Schools.

We follow the PDHPE Syllabus and also incorporate the cultural component of the language curriculum

into our program. Pepa Molina Flamenco dance Academy is the official ambassador of La EFA Syllabus in Australia (Escuela de Flamenco de Andalucía - Official Flamenco

Syllabus from Spain).
