FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PM63/PM81 125/150 APRILIA HABANA/ MOJITO PM56SS/ X-TECH POWER PIPE FOR PIAGGIO ET4/, LX, S, FLY, SFERA, ZIP, SKIPPER, BENELLI ADIVA PEUGEOT LOOXOR 4T Thank you for purchasing a hand crafted PM56/63/81 X-Tech performance race pipe the end product of many years dyno research and road development. Please follow these instructions carefully before fitting. 1. Remove old exhaust as required. 1/A. On later Aprilia Habana / Mojito models, remove fan cowl extension by Removing 3 screws. (FIG 1.) You may also need to use the additional alloy spacers provided between the engine and main hanging bracket (FIG 2.) 2. Loosely fit new hanging bracket finger tight on to engine casing with m8 socket cap bolts 2x, m8 flat and m8 2x spring washers provided. 3. Fit connector pipe to exhaust port, semi tight at this stage to allow for adjustment. (On completion use silicon instant gasket sealer on exhaust port and main slip joint.) 4. Locate main system into connector pipe end joint using expansion spring to pull the two together. Use m8x bolt 1x m8 lock nut 1x, and m8 washer 2x supplied through main system hanging bracket void bush (making sure the chrome spacer is still in position), again semi tight to allow for final adjustment. (For late 2000 onwards see detail 1/A.) 5. Fit the exhaust spring to pull the slip joint together. 6. Adjust system into position making sure that there is sufficient clearance between the center stand and exhaust. On some models it may be necessary to ease the side of the stand outwards slightly, this is best performed using a suitable small length tube over the end of the stand leg. 7. Starting from the hanging bracket bolts tighten all fasteners in an even manner with the system in the correct position it is most important that the system sits in an unstressed position. (Failure to observe this will lead to pipe failure) As you work forward finally adjust and secure all fasteners. N.b. Re-check all fasteners after approx- first 50 miles. Carburation/ ignition settings Use standard factory settings for carburetor and ignition timing. Additional notes for fuel injection models Remove old exhaust as required and clean around exhaust port and mounting area. Disconnect lambda connection (Image A.) And remove lambda sensor from original down pipe. Fit lambda sensor probe into new down pipe. (Image B.) Injection/ ignition settings Use standard factory settings for fuelling and ignition timing. Idle speed may need adjusting. Now perform ECU re-set. Disconnect battery for 60 seconds, re connect allow machine to idle for 10 minutes before riding. The above details are typical to most ET4/ Sfera 4T models and have been tried and tested to the best of our ability. However we cannot be held responsible or, control the many factors that affect an engines performance, if yours does not respond to the above base line settings it may be necessary to re jet and/ or adjust, in any case you will need to check the co lour of the spark plug center electrode for signs of correct jetting e.g. Black too rich white too weak oatmeal/light brown is the ideal. Please note heat coloration on the connector pipe, entry bend and approx 50mm into main system is normal, and cannot be avoided due to the high exhaust gas temperature. Extra performance gains See our tuning guide for various staged performance enhancement kits at www.pmtuning.co.uk or call 01524 850800 Disclaimer While every effort has been made to ensure that these instructions are accurate and concise, they are only intended as a guide for general fitting. Your machine may differ slightly from the one described. PM Tuning accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury caused by the fitting of a pm tuning exhaust system. For the correct torque settings, please consult a workshop manual. If you feel that you are insufficiently equipped to carry out the exhaust fitting safely and correctly, we recommend you consult your nearest dealer. FIG 1. A . B . FIG 2.

Thank you for purchasing a hand crafted PM56/63/81 X-Tech performance race pipe the end product of many years dyno research and road development. Please follow these instructions carefully before fitting. 1. Remove old exhaust as required.

1/A. On later Aprilia Habana / Mojito models, remove fan cowl extension by Removing 3 screws. (FIG 1.)

You may also need to use the additional alloy spacers provided between the engine and main hanging bracket (FIG 2.) 2. Loosely fit new hanging bracket finger tight on to engine casing with m8 socket cap bolts 2x, m8 flat and m8 2x spring washers provided. 3. Fit connector pipe to exhaust port, semi tight at this stage to allow for adjustment. (On completion use silicon instant gasket sealer on exhaust port and main slip joint.)

4. (Image B.) Injection/ ignition settings

Use standard factory settings for fuelling and ignition timing.
