The Kinsale Peace Project are delighted to announce also that Travel Writer Dervla Murphy will be visiting us in Kinsale on Friday September 20th. We will be bringing the intrepid writer to visit Kinsale Community School where she will talk to students about her amazing adventures on her bicycle to some of the most dangerous places in the world.

Her latest book “A Month by the Sea” is not a Summer romantic read, but describes in vivid detail what life is like for ordinary families in Gaza, their hopes, dreams & realities. Dervla very rarely gives public talks, now in her 80s and recovering from a major operation, it will be a great chance to come & meet a truly fascinating author.

Later that Friday evening she will be giving atalk at The Friary Centre, Kinsale at 8pm.(By kind permission from Carmelite Prior Fr Frank McAleese.) Admission free, all are welcome. Her books will be on sale.
