Centering Prayer
Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son, Christ our Lord. Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

*Call to Worship
As we gather today for worship we gather not only as the people assembled here in this place on this occasion.
We also gather with those who have occupied these pews in the past, though they are no longer with us on earth.
And we gather with those who formed the church long before it ever came to be known in this place.
We are united in communion with the saints of all ages.
In their memory and in their presence, we gather as the living body of Christ to worship God.
Let us worship God!
*Morning Hymn For All the Saints Eng. 526
*Call to Confession
*Prayer of Confession (unison)
Eternal God, in every age you have raised up men and women to live and die in faith We confess that we are indifferent to your will.
You call us to proclaim your name, but we are silent You call us to do what is just, but we remain idle You call us to live faithfully, but we are afraid In your mercy, forgive us. Give us courage to follow in your way, that joined with those from ages past, who have served you with faith, hope, and love, we may inherit the kingdom you promised in Jesus Christ.
(our prayers continue in silence)
*Assurance of Pardon (responsive)
May the God of peace sanctify you entirely and keep your body, soul and spirit sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The One who has called us is faithful and He will do this.
Brothers and sisters, I declare unto you that we are forgiven. Know that you are forgiven and be at peace.
In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God!

Litany of Remembrance
Today, as we remember ALL of the saints in our lives we begin by first remembering the great ancestors of our faith, from Abraham and Sarah, to Paul and Phoebe:
Ancestors of the faith, we remember you.
We remember the priests and ministers, and the pastors and teachers who have taught us the way of God:
Teachers of the faith, we remember you.
We remember our grandparents and parents, aunts and uncles, ALL those who have gone before us in our lifetime:
Family of our faith, those close in our heart, we remember you.
We lift up to You, O God, the names of those we have lost in this past year from our lives, knowing that they are with Your heart forever.
We give thanks, O God, for all who have gone on to join with You beyond this life.
We trust in the hope of our faith, the promise of new life in Christ, and know that in our grief and celebration, O God, you are with us through it all, and we are not left alone. In the name of Christ, in whom love lives forever, we pray.
Amen.

Celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion
Invitation to the Table
The table of bread is now to be made ready. It is the table of company with Jesus, and all who love him. It is the table of sharing with the poor of the world, with whom Jesus identified himself. It is the table of communion

with the earth, in which Christ became incarnate. So come to this table, you who have much faith and you who would like to have more; You who have been here often and you who have not been for a long time; You who have tried to follow Jesus, and you who have failed; COME. It is Christ who invites us to meet him here. Let us pray:
Loving God, through your goodness we have this bread and cup to offer, which has come forth from the earth and human hands have made. May we know your presence in the sharing, so that we may know your touch and presence in all things. We celebrate the life that Jesus has shared among his community through the centuries, and shares with us now. Made one with Christ and one with each other, we offer these gifts and with them ourselves, a single, living act of praise. Amen.
Communion of the People and Making Our Commitments to the Lord
Prayers of the People and The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
