Remove all except a few grains of corn from the feed troughs.
Corn that flowed into the feeding trough while adding corn to the bin.
Approximate amount that should remain for deer to begin eating.
Keep in mind that the ‘4-Poster’ is a bait station and not a deer feeder. The goal is to limit access to feed so that the deer must dip their heads more frequently therefore applying more ‘Tickicide”.

Evaluating Treatment
• Reduction of ticks as indicated by surveillance
• Corn consumption as an indicator
• Chemical usage as an indicator
• Good records essential to evaluating the program
