At all times I will bless the Lord. God’s praise will be in my mouth continually, and I will shout ‘Alleluia!’ Celebrate the greatness of the Lord with me. Let us exalt God’s mighty name together ! *Hymn of Praise No. 319. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near, praise Him in glad adoration.
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth. Hast thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been,
Granted in what He ordaineth.
Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him! All that has life and breath, come now with praises before Him.
Let the Amen sound from His people again; gladly forever adore Him.
*Reading of Holy Scripture. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Ephesians 4:1-7; 11-16
Kristen Pope, reader Reader: The Word of the Lord.
People: Thanks be to God.
*Gloria Patri (Hymn 704) Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen. Amen.
Morning Prayer (with The Lord’s Prayer) . . . . . . . . . . . . Tamara Tillman Smathers Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen.
Worship Reminders
For those worshipping in the church building:
Masks must be worn at all times.
Please keep a social distance inside and outside the church building.
An offering will be received at the end of the service. Please bring your offering to the end of your pew and place it in the offering plate.
Worshippers will be dismissed by row, from the back, at the close of the service.
Joining First Baptist We receive new members in several ways. Those who have never publicly acknowledged Christ as Lord join by public profession of faith. Baptism is scheduled for a later date. Members of other Baptist congregations may transfer their membership to our congregation. We handle the details of contacting your current church. Members of other Christian faith traditions are invited to join by “statement of faith.” Because other traditions vary in belief and practice, those joining by statement of faith are invited to speak with a minister before joining so that they might answer questions.
Recording All services are recorded and may be viewed on our website. If you would like a video or audio copy of today’s service, please call the office.
Prayer Concerns (Please place in offering plate or hand to an usher or minister.) ____________________________________ ____________________________________

A Litany for Deacon Service Pastor: (to ordinands) You have been entrusted with a sacred task. Do you now accept the challenges of caring for God's people in this community of believers, assisting our ministers in shepherding the flock, and of seeking the heart of God and being His hands to all who need them?
Ordinands: We accept the challenge.
Pastor: (to congregation) In placing the mantle of responsibility upon these servants, you must commit to supporting them in their ministry. Do you accept the challenge?
Congregation: We accept the challenge.
Pastor: Recognizing that we are one body in Christ and having promised mutual support before a holy God, let us support one another. Blessings on Behalf of the Congregation

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that Thou art--
Thou my best thought by day or by night, waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my soul’s shelter, and Thou my high tower; raise thou me heav'n-ward, O Pow'r of my pow'r.
Riches I heed not, nor vain empty praise, Thou mine inheritance, now and always:
Thou and thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art.
High King of heaven, my victory won, may I reach heaven's joys, O bright heav’n's Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
