The Hydramist systemis very effective as it has been provenduring extensive testing with theMinistry of Justice to successfullysuppress the fire at the first attemptand dramatically reduces thetemperatures in the cell.
Benefits of the system include:
• Fast and effective control andsuppression of fire.
• Easily retro fitted using small borestainless steel pipe.
• Rapid project completion time &accessibly positioned within thecomplex.
Description of solution:
The Hydramist Modular Hose Reel(MHRU2) fire fighting units consist ofspecially designed surface or recessmounted hose reel cabinets locatedin place of the existing standard hosereel cabinets. Each Hydramist MHRU2cabinet will utilise a single integralhigh pressure pump, complete with a35m high pressure hose reel, lance,
and Hydramist prison specificationnozzle (Approved for use by MOJ,SPS and Home office).
Start and stop controls are containedwithin the hose reel cabinet. EachMHRU2 unit has two sets of volt freecontacts that show power healthy andpump running. These can be used tosend a signal to a BMS if required.
The system design and installationwill be designed to NFPA 750recommendations. It will comply withLocal Authority and Supply UtilitiesRules and Regulations. All integralpipe work and fittings will be 316stainless steel.
