Fire Preparation Workshop – Spring 2010 March 27 (backup date 28 ), 2010 U. of W. Physical Sciences Lab, 3725 Schneider Dr, Stoughton, Wi, 53589 (15 miles from Madison) This hands-on workshop is designed to provide equipment and live fire experience for fire crew members. Prerequisite is passing I-100, S-130 and S-190 classroom. This workshop will provide safe and proper fire tool use instruction for novices. On a parallel track, fire leadership (squad boss, line boss) training and experience will be available for more advanced firefighters. Activities will include: review of fire behavior, gathering and measuring weather information, situation awareness and LCES, communication and documentation, control line construction and spot fire suppression.
